Kathy Randle CFO
t’s a pleasure to serve on the Board this year as your CFO. I’m looking forward to contributing my time and talents to ensure the financial sustainability of the Chapter—one of the Board’s strategic initiatives for 2011. The role of CFO supports this initiative by working with all Board members in creating, implementing, and maintaining a realistic budget given the current challenging economic times. This means: • Determining priorities of where we spend our money to leverage the greatest value and impact for all members • Reviewing financial statements monthly to ensure we are on track and adjusting our spending as needed to stay within our financial targets • Listening to you, our members, for your ideas and concerns in how the Chapter runs its financial operations. I have been a member of ASTD National for 20 years and joined ASTD Orange County almost a year ago, having recently moved back to Southern California after living and working in the San Francisco Bay area. During the past year, I was Project Manager for the Total Trainer Program and have recently begun serving as a mentor in ASTD-OC’s partnership with the Girl Scouts in designing training modules.
I am currently working with ISC Technology, a training and instructional design consulting firm, by providing consulting services for them at The Capital Group Companies in Irvine. I have an MBA and MS in Instructional Design. ASTD Orange County is in good health financially—let’s keep it that way! You play a vital role in the financial success of the Chapter, and I look forward to talking with you on your ideas for achieving financial sustainability this year and into the future. Best regards, Kathy Randle
