******************************************* AREA DESCRIPTION, DETAILS and DIRECTION AZ 1: BENALMADENA Has long been popular as a main tourist attraction and destination of the Costa del Sol. There is a long established EXPAT community who reside, visit and work in this region of Espana. BENALMテ.ENA PUEBLO is a very nice traditional Spanish village, the highest area of the municipality with wonderful vistas, (views), and where the Town Hall is based, in this the old village. There is a Buddhist Temple, the most important Buddhist Temple in Europe and also the Golden Pagoda, attractions which can be seen from miles away. ARROYO DE LA MIEL is the area where the majority of the EXPAT population live work and spend their leisure time. It is also home to the international Theme Park Tivoli World. TORREQUEBRADA and BENALMテ.ENA COSTA are to be located along the coast adjacent to and home of various Bars, B&Bs, Cafe Bars, Golf Courses, Hotels, Restaurants and Nightclubs. PUERTO MARINA on the Mediterranean has a large Fishing & Leisure Port where you can purchase fresh fish and all types of seafood caught

daily. The Puerto is also popular and has the Costa del Sol's main nightlife areas. SEA LIFE Theme park is also here, and the Puerto has parking facilities for over 1000 vehicles and is always busy. BENALMADENA can be accessed from 3 main directions: 1. Malaga: you can take the Torremolinos turn off and reach Benalmadena by driving right through Torremolinos. 2. The A-7 Motorway: there is an access straight down to Arroyo de la Miel 3. Fuengirola is up or down the coast, dependent upon your starting point. Just go east along the Coast, (on the old N-340 road). AZ 1 FUENGIROLA The original 60's EXPAT coastal holiday resort of Fuengirola has enjoyed an ever increasing resident and tourist surge. Each year since the 1960's, hundreds of thousands of holiday makers head for Fuengirola, so much so it is now the most densely populated area of the EXPAT community within the Malaga province. Miles, (or should we say kilometres), of sandy beaches, water sports, a vast number of bars and restaurants with probably the longest sea-front walks along the coast of the Mediterranean. The area is enhanced with the annual summer influx of visitors from the U.K. and throughout the summer months the whole place is alive with people entertainment. There are many places of interest, such as the thermal baths in Torreblanca and the Roman columns in Los Boliches. The Puerto and sports marina is a popular attraction with fishing, fishing boats and large yachts. There is a vibrant and extensive market which is probably the largest on the coast. At the weekend there is a giant car boot sale on Saturdays and on Sundays a craft and tourist in the port. A land mark to look for is the Castle of Sohail on the way into Fuengirola from the motorway. Fuengirola really is for everyone with entertainment for all tastes and ages including rides on the tourist train, horse and carriage around the town to a visit to the local zoo. Have fun and enjoy a day at the water park or spend time in the Sohail River Park. Fuengirola comes alive, is very popular and has many big nights out especially during the summer months; it really is the original British Spanish vacation.
