New Education Class An Introduction to Paul and His Letters Sunday classes begin this week, April 14 at 10am, Upstairs Living Room Facilitator: The Rev. Marquita L. Hutchens This study looks at the theological perspectives and moral reasoning that shape Paul’s letters to the churches he planted. We will engage the spiritual autobiography Paul himself gives in his letters – from his early efforts to destroy the church to risking his life establishing churches throughout a vast region, from Jerusalem through Asia Minor to Rome. When studied closely, Paul’s letters transform Christians from being casual about their faith to engaging in the profound meaning that Christ’s sacrifice has for them personally in today’s world. The study booklet will be provided. Farmworkers Thank You! Thanks to all who donated toiletries and food for the Episcopal Farmworkers Ministry. The shower bags and food packs were delivered on Sunday and some were handed out to farmworkers who have arrived early for the growing season. We attended the Sunday service and were treated to a lunch afterwards, thanks to Father Tony Rojas. Thanks also to Alva and Judy Windham who hauled some of the items and shared in the festivities. Next we will be seeking work clothes: long pants (32-34 waists), long sleeved shirts, hats, shoes etc. Watch for the collection box in the reception area. Anne and Jerry Ocorr
