HOW I SEE PRESENTATION OF MY PHOTOGRAPHIC WORK

My passion for photography has been my way to obtain self-knowledge. I have always considered that photography is the most beautiful way of expression. When I was 10 years old i got my first reel camera. Since then, photography has given me peaceful and quiet moments, as if I was meditating. I am a very sensitive person that has its own and unique way of taking photos. I get emotional with every gesture, colour, sound or texture... All of which I try to summarize in one photo. About my personal experiences, I have traveled and learned from many countries: South Africa, Marrakesh, Egypt, South of India, Costa Rica, Cuba, Mexico, New York, Los Angeles, Boston, San Francisco...Also around Europe: Germany, France, Italy, England, Scotland... I never had theory classes. My father was the one who introduced me to the world of digital and analog photography. As self-taught, I use Photoshop and Lightroom for editing. Meeting people and understanding their personal situations is very fulfilling. I want to be the witness and have the opportunity to share and bring awareness of the world’s reality. Either through photography or design, it is a dream for me to do this for the rest of my life and at the same time have my work recognized.

PRODUCT DESIGN MAKING SMALL STEPS FOR A BETTER WORLD Fields: Craftmanship, Light design & Art direction

45

MY STORY HOW I END UP DOING PRODUCT DESIGN Previous Experiences: Arquitecture., Fashion & Global Design I love that any small detail can make a big difference. If something generates a new feeling of intrigue, relief or visual and tactile pleasure it will for sure give the viewer a positive experience. This is one of the main reasons that drives my passion. I consider that to be a graduated student of design is the process by which you learn to bring the world more sensibilty and self knowledge. It is also a matter of coming up with new ideas that will generate a positive reaction to the user, either by physical, visual or sensorial experiences. I see design as a potential field that studies many cultures, social and even psycological matters. It is for me a discipline that understands better the human needs in order to solve them. From my point of view, design means sharing knowledge.

CREMA THE GRADIENT AND TRANSFORMATION THROUGH GLASS

This is a project that took place in Barcelona, specifically in the “Barcelona Glass Studio” near the Sants Train Station.

The design is inspired by the Catalan cream, an autochthonous dessert of the Catalan land. Its creaminess, its hot temperature, and its burnt called “cremat” were potentially inspiring attributes. Furthermore, Crema encourages the purchase of craftman’s products made with tradition, love and dedication. After being presented to a contest for fad Barcelona, it has been selected for being exhibited during the “Design Market” Museum of Design and will be shown also at din Design Week Salone del Mobile of Milano, Italy. For this reason, and for its postive feedback from different users, it is thought that this project will go ahead into antoher fields. Such as fine cuisine restaurants or interior design shops.

FLOWERS A GIFT FOR ST.JORDI IN CATALONIA Work Space: Ied Barcelona Saint George’s Day is celebrated on 23 April. Roses, books and lovers: never missing in Barcelona. International Book Day turns into a particularly romantic holiday in Catalonia full of roses. It is when the Catalans celebrate their patron, Sant Jordi, going out into the street to fulfill a curious folk tradition. Flowers Food Design

With the project name “flowers for st.jordi” roses are transformed into food. This project is a photographic result of what it is considered the most important issues in design. To study different cultures, where do we come from and where do we go. To know how to communicate this value found in each culture. To interpret in a way everybody is capable of understanding it. Finally without searching for it, reaching the aesthetics. Each rose is thought from a different region inside Spain. From southern to northern. From East to West. Where gastronomic cultures are very different from one to another. This flowers are ment to break with boundaries. They are designed to share love and respect. Provoking an emotional value that each individual gastronomic culture deserves. From peppers with mushrooms, to ham and olives. From raw to fresh sea food. These flowers are the result of a studied color palette, where complementary pastel tones are joined together in the shape of a rose.

OJO DE STA LUCÍA - SPIRAL GOLD RATIO & FIBONACCI

Ojo Sta Lucía Product

Done with 3D laser cut in wood, the spiral represents the fossil named “Ojo de Sta. Lucía” that can be found in some coasts. Since I was a kid i have been very close to it, spiritually and physically. The golden ratio is studied in nature and mathematic formulas. It is also found in photography for its justification of proportion and study of positioning. The result of this wooden piece incorporates a voronoi which is a partitioning of a plane into regions based on distance to points in a specific subset of the plane.

CREATION

This is a story that begins with “Lighting Design Festival” and a mysterious title was born in Como: 8208. A number that corresponds to the name of a dedicated asteroid, along with the corresponding lunar crater, to Alessandro Volta, the scientist who came precisely from Como. Boundaries is a light installation that was built in November of 2017 and will remain at least one year more. It was made for the hostel “Ostello Bello” in collaboration with two other interior design and art students. Last but not least, this project was tutorised by a Italian artist, Alessandro Lupi.

ALL OF OUR DNA THE HISTORY IN THE PAST AND THE PRESENT

Adn Bcn Light Design

It was when the multidisciplinar team from IED went to visit the space that we realised we were working in a magic square.Plaรงa de Sant Lu was constructed on top of ruins and had been changed for many different purposes during its history. Inside the porch, we generated and ephimeral installation. ADN BCN is capable of detecting the movement of the people through specific sensors in the square. Real movement of the poeple was transformed into violet light, while the static movement of the past history remained blue. The project had a financial support for the lightning material of Space Simon, IED barcelona and Fluvia for the lightning material.

SUNSET GREEN FLASH Light Installation Sunset Green Flash

PHILLIPS CLUE CONTEST - PROJECT PROPOSAL Place: IED Barcelona Design Unicersity

The proposal for the contest is a ephemeral and sensory light installation. In order to achieve this, it transmits and reflects the moment in which both —the winter sunset solstice and Green Flash— are happening. Specifically, within the “Espai Mescladís” (intercultural spaace) there is a corridor that goes from west to east, specifically located where the Sun rises and sets. Not only is a space that works for social reasons but it is in this corridor where there is a photographic exhibition about inmigration. It would be in this corridor where we would show how the dispersion effect make the sunset and green flash happen.

[CONCLUSION] “Things come to you, and it is how you choose to deal with them that reveals who you are. It is easy to talk and conversate, but in the end, its our actions that will define us and make things happen for real. This is the way I see Design.
