VEHICLE AND GARAGE SAFETY TIPS 101

Meets third Fridays, 10 a.m. Lynda Towers at lynda1229@msn.com

COVENANTS COMMITTEE

1. Park your vehicle in your garage. 2. Your garage door should be closed except when entering or leaving. 3. If your vehicle must be parked on the street or in the driveway, be sure to lock the doors. If it is equipped with an alarm, be sure to set it. 4. Take all valuables out of your vehicle. DO NOT leave anything in sight. Never leave a purse, wallet or money in the car even for a minute. 5. Take the garage door opener with you every time the vehicle is parked, including when shopping, doing business and at home parked in the driveway. 6. Do not leave anything with your name or address in sight or in the glove compartment. 7. If you park your vehicle in the garage, be sure to take the keys in the house with you. Do not hang them on a hook in the garage. 8. The door from your garage into your house should be locked. 9. If you park on the street, a thief could potentially use a tow truck to haul your vehicle away. To avoid this, turn your wheels toward the curb and set the parking brake. This makes it difficult for a thief to tow your vehicle away.
