WHAT IS IT? YOUR MISSION‌ As a pilot in training of a Lockheed Martin F-35B Joint Forces Fighter Jet, you must learn to utilize skills in navigation, aviation, communications, teamwork, and leadership. The success of your mission is based on the reaction of your team members to the challenges faced while trying to save the USS YORKTOWN.

This one-of-a-kind experience is offered exclusively on the historic USS YORKTOWN located on Charleston Harbor in Mt. Pleasant, SC


WHAT you will do? Joint Operations Center (JOC) In the JOC, you will be responsible for receiving and interpreting intelligence information from the Joint Intelligence Center and relaying that data to your respective flight simulators in order to guide the aircraft to the correct location.

Simulators As a pilot or co-pilot, you are responsible for engaging targets and effectively executing the mission given to you by the JOC.

Joint Intelligence Center (JIC) In the JIC, you are responsible for charting a course and relaying your findings to the JOC, via sound powered phone. You will provide surveillance of the area utilizing a drone, and steer the USS YORKTOWN to a strategic location.


Flight Academy Program Description Ages: 10 years and up You will be immersed in aviation adventure as your team works to defend the USS YORKTOWN at all costs. As pilots in training of a Lockheed Martin F-35B Joint Forces Fighter Jet, you must learn to utilize skills in navigation, aviation, communications, teamwork, and leadership. The success of your mission is based on the reaction of your team members to the challenges faced while trying to save the USS YORKTOWN.

Additional Information Length: • Weekends: 2 hours • Week Days: 3 hours Scouting Considerations: • This program meets 40% of the requirements for the BSA Aviation Merit Badge: 1d, 2(c-d), 4(c) of Aviation Merit Badge Handbook.


Puddle Jumper Aviation

Program Description

Ages: 6-9 years old – Length: 1 hour

This is a hands-on program where young pilots-in-training get the chance to have a fun aviation learning experience. You will learn about aviation history, types of aircraft, the four basic forces acting on an airplane, and much more. You will complete three fun learning stations: fly a F35-B flight simulator, build and fly a paper airplane, and tour the WWII dive bomber the Dauntless.
