The e-learning programme should now start. Some of the courses are created by different suppliers and therefore differ in navigation methods but all courses have a few of the same features. This button allows you to hide the outline pane down the left hand side of the screen. This button allows you to stop the course and save your progress at anytime.

When using a programme that was created by the Pennine Acute’s e-learning team you will need to click this button to move on to the next screen. Every course has an outline. By clicking on the + button shown here you will be able to view all the components of the programme that you need to do in order to complete your training. An example is shown below. This symbol means that the component has not been attempted yet This symbol means that the component has been started but is not complete

This symbol means that the component has been completed.

Once you have completed the e-Learning programme you may need to pass an assessment. You have 3 attempts at the assessment but you must wait at least 24 hours between each test, this gives you time to re-visit the course if needed. If you do not pass on the 3rd attempt then you must book onto a tutor led session.

Returning to a course One of the advantages of e-learning programmes is that you do not need to do the whole course in one go. You are able to stop at anytime and pick up where you left off at another time. To return to a course you need to:  Log in to the NLMS. 

Find the course that you want to re-visit.

Click the play button.

If you get the box shown here click OK.

Once you have completed the course, the learning path status will say completed and the completion date will also appear as shown below. Your Trust ET&D training record will then be automatically updated.
