THE LION KING’S
The return of the landmark stage production Disney’s The Lion King to the Los Angeles theater arena was one of the most anticipated musical experiences to come last holiday season. Since the start of its eight-week engagement in November at the Pantages Theatre, the musical production’s cast and crew have successfully delivered another amazing presentation of the sold out original Broadway show to audiences of all ages. The Lion King has enjoyed constant success with audiences from all over the world since its original production in the late 1990s. “The unparalleled worldwide success of The Lion King can be attributed to the universal thematic elements
of the original animated film on which our stage show is based,” said Jack Eldon, Vice President of Domestic Distribution. “At its core, the story is a timeless myth of self-discovery and fulfillment of one’s destiny, themes which are still relevant and transcend cultural boundaries,” he continued. The Lion King’s rich illustration of powerful messages of family, friendship, and noble character continue to be a proven success for the production in Los Angeles and around the world.

Partners I-Drive Facility
Innovation, collaboration, and efficiency—just a few key elements cited by Partners Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer, Christopher Parker, as he spoke about the current renovations taking place at the credit union’s largest operational facility, located on the second and third floors above the Orlando, Florida branch. Over the span of several months, the renovation of what is known as I-Drive, Partners’ headquarters and branch facility, has been in progress in support of its
operational departments that serve the credit union. This facility stands to provide Partners with stateof-the-art technology for departments such as the Member Service Center, Information Technology, and Risk Management. “By becoming an extraordinary model for business, Partners will drive operational excellence,” stated Parker. Enhancing these business units will allow for the innovative collaboration of Partners Cast Members to work together in a more creative, dynamic, and efficient environment.

Scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2014, I-Drive will also include popular Disney film themed meeting spaces with versatile rooms to support small and larger sessions, new restrooms, a modern cafeteria-style break room with lounge seating, and even a game room with a billiard table. A contemporary modular office design system will encompass the working spaces of each department, making it the perfect space while maximizing the layout.

Behind the Scenes of Walt’s Last Dream Presented by D23: The Official Disney Fan Club
In the final months of his life, Walt went before studio cameras to unveil his greatest vision yet. For any Disney fan, the scene is iconic—Walt Disney in a room decorated with models and artistic renderings, describing his concept for the futuristic city of EPCOT. This experimental community would prove to be his last and greatest dream, and the “EPCOT Film”, shot on October 27, 1966, would be one of his final on-screen appearances. Production sheets show the small crew that was summoned to Stage 1 on the Disney lot that day to document Walt’s EPCOT pitch. Director Arthur Vitarelli was a Hollywood veteran and frequent second unit or assistant director at the Disney Studio, working on a long list of films including Mary Poppins and The Shaggy Dog.
In these rare photographs, you can see the filmmakers and Walt setting up for production. While based on the top-secret EPCOT planning rooms at the WED Enterprises campus in Glendale, the film’s sets were custom built on a Disney soundstage for the production. Credit Cards 101:
Choosing the right credit card for you
Consider your needs and wants when shopping for a credit card. Domestic and foreign travel, car rental, and Internet shopping are among the top uses for credit cards. Think about what you will use the card for, what type of limit you will need, and other factors that will affect your usage. Here are a few items to consider when selecting the credit card for your lifestyle: •
Spending Habits—Will this be your everyday or emergency card? Will you carry a balance or pay off your credit card bill in full each month? Interest Rate—Does the credit card offer an introductory rate? Examine your spending habits and determine whether a non-variable or variable rate will work for you. Rewards Program—Get more from your credit card by taking advantage of a program that offers incentives. Credit Limit—The amount of money made available for spending using your credit card is based on your credit history, so be mindful of your credit limit, as it can have a negative or positive effect on your credit score.
Fees and Penalties—Balance transfer fees, cash advance fees, late fees, and foreign transaction fees … get familiar with them so you understand your monthly billing.
