COMPANY CULTURE

Our company culture is a living, breathing, adapting force that attracts like minded talent. Its not something we’ve spent time defining, it has developed while we were focusing on the business of successful employees building successful relationships. Over time as our culture has grown and matured, we realized that it is a shared vision. Our culture is evident when we come together to solve a problem, find the right buyer, or represent a new seller. We encourage collaboration - our culture is based on relationships. This has expanded to include not only our clients but each other because we’ve learned that when we’re all working together, we’re working better for our clients. We don’t look to compare ourselves to the competition, we look to the needs of our clients and our agents - this is what defines us; how we treat each other.

Company Timeline celebrating

1975 - 2015

“Buying my first house got me hooked on real estate. I was completely infatuated with it.” This began the illustrious career and company known as Bob Parks Realty, LLC.

1975

Nissan Motors manufacturing plant came to Smyrna. Anticipating growth that new industry brings, the Smyrna office of Bob Parks Realty was opened.

1981

Bob Parks Realty started from one man’s passion about real estate, relationships and supporting the community he serves. Fast forward to 2015 and that vision has helped thousands of people buy and sell homes, and also thousands of children and families in the Middle Tennessee area. Fairness. Honesty. Commitment. These are the guiding principles upon which Bob Parks founded and built a successful business when he opened in 1975. “The true measure of commitment is one’s willingness to give not only of his resources, but also of his personal time.”

The Brentwood office was opened this year - the first office outside of Rutherford County. Development on Princeton Hills, 160 luxury estate homes, would begin the following year.

1995

Bob Parks Realty acquired Sharon Langford & Associates which moved the company into Davidson County, creating the Green Hills office and growing the company to over 300 agents.

1999

Financial Milestone: Bob Parks Realty reached the billion dollar mark in sales volume.

2003

2007

The first office on “The Beach” was opened, The Premier Property Group along Florida’s Emerald Coast. Within the first year, The PPG was ranked among the top 10%.

2011

We released the first mobile app on the east cost to offer augmented reality. Our app set standards in Middle Tennessee for the way today’s consumers search real estate.

2012

An urban real estate gallery, PARKS, opened its doors in 2012. The idea of a boutique firm, specializing in urban dwellings, filled a much-needed niche for us and the office has been consistently successful.

2013

In November 2013 we grew to over 500 agents.

2015

The Wilson Group Real Estate Services merged with Parks and retained that firm’s Broker, Christie Wilson, as our CEO. Rebranding: the company now shares one logo - PARKS. July 2015. Celebrating 40 years of relationships serving Middle Tennessee.

BOB PARKS Founder and Chairman Following his graduation from Middle Tennessee State University in 1970, Bob Parks was employed as an underwriter for State Farm Insurance. A short time later he purchased his first home, the catalyst that landed him where he is today. “Buying that first house got me hooked on real estate. I was completely infatuated with it,” Bob said. Deciding to convert his interest into a career, Bob became a licensed Realtor in 1972 and joined Clark Maples Realty in Murfreesboro. After spending three years as an affiliate broker, Bob decided to put his philosophies to work as broker of his own real estate company. Fairness. Honesty. Commitment. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT Everyone benefits from a successful mentoring program! We find great value in training agents for success through all the different ways people learn. One of those valuable tools is mentoring. Agent retention while adding more value to the workplace is vital to all our success!

You don’t have to have all the answers, you just have to be willing to share what you know.

Relationship-based mentoring is a successful tool for everyone. We believe strongly in supporting our agents to have successful careers. No matter how you define success, the mentorship program can help you reach your goals. If anyone is interested in being a mentor or being mentored, please speak with your managing broker. Your broker can assess your goals and expectations and select the right mentor for you!

To be a Mentor:

To be a Mentee:

You will need to spend quality time with your mentee.

You will need to spend quality time with your mentor.

In the beginning define the expectations for both of you and write them down so you can periodically refer to the list and make sure both parties are on the correct path.

Sometimes the best training comes out of a mentor relationship! Open communication and a teachable spirit are really all you need.

Keep your managing broker up to date with progress reports on your mentor relationship. Talk with your managing broker for more information and additional forms regarding the Mentor Program.

Be willing to help with open houses, showings, contracts, etc. Talk with your managing broker to find out more information about the program and see if this might be right for you.

Don’t look for instant results. Mentoring is a marathon, not a sprint. As long as you are learning things you did not know before, the mentoring relationship is a success!

CORPORATE MARKETING

CORPORATE MARKETING Corporate Marketing reflects the same philosophy that governs Parks - supply agents with tools, training and technology to help them achieve success. Marketing is a living organism that grows and adjusts to current trends but also provides tried and true marketing solutions. We offer a variety of tools to support agents who utilize marketing plans from Ninja, more traditional plans involving flyers and print collateral to a millennial plan based on social media and electronic contact. One of the key aspects of Marketing is communication. One of our roles in this company is to keep the agents informed on what’s going on, both internally and within the real estate community, welcoming new agents and providing a monthly CEO newsletter.

Molly Jennings Director of Marketing Molly has been the Marketing Director at PARKS since 2013. She began her career at Walt Disney World which led to an interest in branding and corporate imaging. The last 15 years have been spent in the commercial real estate industry where she has served on the NAIOP Board as the Marketing Chair and several event committees through BOMA, NAIOP and CREW. At PARKS, she oversees marketing initiatives for the agents, the website, teaches in the PPD Series as well as works with the agents individually. She manages social media and print advertising and anything else that comes across her desk!

Heather Orne Director of Public Relations After spending 7 years as a television news anchor and reporter, Heather Orne decided to change course and pursue a career in public relations. Her media experience and knowledge of what it takes to get your story recognized by reporters made PR the next logical step. She has done public relations work in several industries including healthcare, finance and agriculture and is excited to get the opportunity to work in real estate.

BOB PARKS AUCTION

Bob Parks Auction Company is an elite team of experienced and professionally trained people who utilize the auction process to sell property. Recognized as a leader in the industry, Bob Parks Auction can help you sell your property. The traditional approach to buying or selling real estate involves several middlemen – the seller’s agent, the buyer’s agent, and perhaps an attorney retained by the seller and an attorney retained by the buyer. Many aspects of the process, such as open houses, are designed primarily to help the real estate agent build his or her business, with an only residual goal of helping the buyer find a property or the seller to find a buyer. Buying or selling at a Nashville auction is different. Our process eliminates a few of the middlemen, and makes the land auctions in Tennessee more efficient, and these savings are passed along to the buyer and seller. At Bob Parks Auctions, you’ll find a wide variety of properties around the Middle Tennessee area. Possible properties include land, operating farms, liquidated businesses, and single-family homes. Our unique combination of experience and technology puts you in the driver’s seat. We don’t wait for buyers to come to you. We go to them, no matter where they are in Middle Tennessee - via the Internet, direct marketing, telemarketing, advertising and other media. When in the market for Middle Tennessee property, consider the financial advantages of buying or selling with us.
