Group Insurance Our district has paid Rs. 4,75,047/- towards group personal accident insurance with Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Co. Only 3,375 lions in clubs who cleared their dues have been included. 141 lions above 65 years have also been included at a marginally higher premium. The policy (OG – 11- 1810 – 9902 – 00000007) has come into force on December 5, 2010. Each person is covered for Rs. 6, 00, 000/- and the total sum insured is 2, 02, 50, 00, 000/-

School Adoption Clubs are requested to complete their respective permanent projects at identified and adopted government schools immediately. If any club fails to identify and begin work by this month end, the district will transfer the funds to some other club for a second project. Membership Discrepancies There are a few discrepancies between the membership rosters of clubs with the international and the club records. Clubs may take the help of the district office for resolving such disputes.

Melvin Jones Fellowships During this lionistic, seven lions became Melvin Jones Fellows by contributing US$ 1000 to LCIF and have availed incentives of Rs 5,000 from our District Governor Lion Dr G Babu Rao and another Rs 5,000/- from the district: 1) Bharath Kumar Gampa, 2) Ghttamaneni Sandhya Rani, 3) Bandi Ramesh, 4) Chalasani Visweswara Rao, 5) Bhushan Kodali, 6) V T Raj Kumar, 7) K Sambasiva Rao. Incentives are available to a few more lions on a first-come-first-served basis.

APJ Abdul Kalam Now the district has gained the momentum of administrative and service activities. Once again we are marching towards the creation of another world record. Congratulations to all who contributed and supported in gaining the remarkable growth of membership and extension of new clubs.

Lions Quest Lion M Seetha Rao, District Chairperson, organized a Lions Quest Teacher Training Workshop at Lions Bhavan. 37 teachers from as many schools participated in the programme. Hyderabad East Lions Club and our District 324C6 jointly hosted the programme. Lion Mohan Doss from District 324C2 was the faculty. District Governor Lion Dr Babu Rao inaugurated the workshop. Lion m nagaRAJU, Lion A Amarnath Rao, Lion K Govind Raj interacted with the participating teachers. Lion Sanjay Chowdhary and Koshy Thomas of Hyderabad Cosmo offered active support to the Workshop.

Membership Growth & Extension We started lionistic year 2010-2011 with 3,175 members with 96 clubs in July 2010. We have now reached 4,282 members with 126 clubs – so far we added 1353 new members and dropped 246 members and achieved a net membership growth of 1107 members with 30 new clubs extension. We recognize the efforts of Hyderabad Serilingampally, Hyderabad Greater Anand and Medak Manjeera Lions Clubs for their massive contribution to this miraculous growth. International Director’s Visit. International Director Lion VV Krishna Reddy visited our district for two days on Nov 21 & 22nd. He visited KV Reddy Lions Eye Hospital, Bodhan, Medak Lions Eye Hospital and Vakiti Laxma Reddy Memorial Lions Eye Hospital, Narsapur , VT Takur Lions Eye Hospital, Kamareddy. He inaugurated a Bus Shelter at Mirzapur X Roads, constructed by Lions Club of Chinna Shankarampet. He also participated in the distribution of furniture to Govt School, Mandapur. He was the Chief Guest at the inauguration of seven new clubs at Hyderabad and Nizamabad. He was greatly impressed with the activities in the district. International Medals Presented International President’s Medal was presented to Lion L Uma Rani of Lions Club of Hyderabad Jubilee Hills and Leadership Medal was presented to Lion Komaravelli Shekar of Lions Club of Siddipet at the hands of International Director Lion V V Krishna Reddy for their contribution to lionism during 2009-2010. International President’s PINs Presented International President’s lapel pins were presented to 10 lions who worked for Extension and Membership Growth. ISAAME Forum ISAAME Forum was held from 2nd to 5th December, 2010 at Dubai. 37 members from our district attended the Forum. District Governor Lion Dr G Babu Rao headed the team. All India Lions Meet All India Lions Meet will be held from 10th – 12th January, 2011 at Leonia Holistic Resorts, Shameerpet, Hyderabad. District 324C3 is hosting the meet and 324C6, C2 and C5 are co–hosting the meet. The registration for the programme is Rs 1800/- per head. For details contact Lion m nagaRAJU, District Cabinet Treasurer. Strides Walk Lions Club of Hyderabad Cosmo organized a Strides Walk for Diabetes Awareness on November 14, World Diabetes Day. There was an informative presentation by an eminent diabetologist followed by a walk aimed at promoting better awareness and care. District Governor Lion Dr Babu Rao was the chief guest at the programme. Lion S K Rammohan was instrumental in organizing the event. New Year Celebrations New Year Celebrations “New Year Milan” will be celebrated on 2 nd January, 2011 at Naren Gardens, Miyapur, Hyderabad. Tambola, Orchestra and lots of fun with cocktails and dinner will be the highlights of the event. The entry per Lion is Rs 400/- and for couple it is Rs. 700/- limited tickets are available please book your ticket today. Nominations for Mahila Utsav The District is planning a massive event on March 6, 2010 to honor some eminent women from different walks of life. The programme will be chaired by District Chairperson Lion Sudha Ramesh. Clubs are requested to identify and nominate women who have made remarkable contribution to society in any field of human interest. Peace Poster Contest Winner There has been only one entry received from Hyderabad Cosmo Lions Club for the Peace Poster Contest this year. The entry has been forwarded to the Multiple Council. 3rd District Cabinet Meeting The third Cabinet Meeting of our district will be held on 9th January, 2011 at 11 am at Medak. Lions Club of Medak Manjeera will host lunch after the meeting. Detailed circular is being sent to the cabinet members.
