This painting is a large size triptych composed of three 72" x 24" panels. These are imaginary mountains in a sea of golden leaves ontop of recycled glass powder I have used for the creation of this painting. This painting is a free interpretation of Palenque a Maya city state in southern Mexico that flourished in the 7th century. The Palenque ruins date back to 100 BC to its fall around 800 AD. It is located near the Usumacinta Riverr in the Mexican statee of Chiapas, Mexico. Palenque contains some of the finest architecture, sculpture, roof comb and bas-relief carvings the Maya produced.
