For the 8-way it was very clear who would go home with the gold medals. Nobody could touch the French National Team. Team The Russians took the silver medals and the new line-up from the French team would take the bronze medals. But the girls brought up a great show! show The Golden Knights (USA) competed with the same line-up as during the World Meet in Dubai, the French girls replaced two members and most people thought it would be a walk in the park for the Knights. But it had all the drama that can be created in a Formation Skydiving competition and more. It was as far back as at the World Meet 2003 in Gap when the race for the gold medal required a jump-off round, which still did not break the tie. The highest score of the meet then counts to determine the winner. The French 27-pointer in Round 2 turned out to be the winner of the competition when the two teams could not break the tie in Round 11. Most teams will have a re-match during the Dubai Gulf Cup, in December 2013. La Coppa del Mondo e il Campionato Europeo si sono disputati a Banja Luka, città della Bosnia-Erzegovina. La zona lancio è un vecchio aeroporto militare nella periferia della città. L'organizzazione ha messo a disposizione per lo spettacolo due TurboLet e due Pilatus Porter, per fortuna il meteo è stato buono durante tutta la manifestazione, con temperature superiori ai 35 gradi e il cielo azzurro. Per le Formation Skydiving 4 way c'erano 16 squadre in gara, 10 squadre nella categoria femminile e 4 squadre a 8 elementi. Le aspettative erano che gli NMP PCH Hayabusa (Belgio) vincessero nelle FS 4 way, way la Nazionale Francese l’otto e quasi tutti pensavano che le Golden Knights (USA) avrebbero vinto nella categoria femminile. Le FS 4 way non ha avuto grandi sorprese, gli Hayabusa hanno vinto la gara con un vantaggio di 30 punti sulla squadra Barkli (Russia) e 46 punti sulla nuova Nazionale Francese. Il team Francese ha sostituito due membri dopo il Mondiale di Dubai e sono 'under construction'.
