mentoringbybriangreen The By BrianGreen Business Mentoring Program’s primary goal is to assist wedding and event planners in their business growth by providing tangible guidance, educational tools, templates and support to its mentees. This professional development is supported on their journey by raising their level of customer and personal satisfaction. The program is geared to enhance the knowledge and experience of wedding creatives regardless of where they are in their business cycle. It is ideal for planners who are just starting out to mature business owners who have been planning events for years. Our program will challenge attendees to think differently, study best practices, push their boundaries and ultimately guide them towards planning events passionately and successfully. We will accept a limited number of participants in our program as peer to peer shared experiences is also a valuable learning tool for successful wedding and event planners.

HOW DO WE BEGIN We offer two coaching programs: 1) One on One Coaching: This is for the planner who wants to have more in-depth time and can focus more on specific areas of concern. Our custom Mentoring Program includes the following: 

An initial 60 minute get-to-know-you phone conversation where we discuss your business, goals, needs and concerns

A custom outline of your coaching program, tailored to your specific needs is created

Shared documents that we use together for notes and homework throughout the program

Ten (10) two-hour sessions over the course of 5 months

Email access between sessions for basic questions and quick follow-ups for up to one year.

Access to all knowledge provided in the group coaching program

2) The Group Coaching Program: Intimate group setting: (A maximum of 10 planners per mentoring period) where you will share class time with your other peers as we go through the detailed established program together. This program will: 

Assist event planners in receiving support and guidance from a mentor with over 16 years’ experience in planning corporate, social and luxury weddings

Improve the business performance of participants.

Empower participants to be knowledge leaders in our industry.

Increase the level of professionalism of participants 

Provide valuable knowledge that will make a positive impact on participants and their business.

Support planners with strong Networking skills

Building industry relationships.

THE ROLE OF YOUR COACH As your coach, I will be your leader and will openly share my business experiences with all participants. My task is to help you to achieve your goals, provide insight to our industry, give you the correct tools of the trade and most importantly listen to your concerns and help you address them successfully.

THE ROLE OF PARTICIPANT As a participant in the program, we want you to always be actively engaged in the learning and shared experiences. This program is geared to help you become your best self as a planner but that only works if you are:  Engaged in the process, ready and eager to learn  Willing to share your questions, knowledge and experiences with your peers  Attend the sessions  Consider all advice or suggestions you receive from the group but knowing that with this knowledge you are responsible for your own business decisions.

THE PROGRAM DETAILS The program will be conducted for Five (5) Months with two sessions per month (The 1st and 3rd Monday in each month) for a total of ten sessions. Each session will be for two (2) hours (6PM – 8PM) There will be two coaching sessions in 2017/2018:  Session One: June – November  Session Two: January 2018 – May 2018

3) CONTRACTS AND LEGAL       

Understanding hospitality industry contracts and clauses Establishing your business client contracts Contract negotiations – what you can and cannot ask for in a contract Understanding legal ramifications of your actions as a planner Employee Contracts – Non-Compete / Non-Disclosure etc. Wages for employees How to establish an intern program

ABOUT BRIAN A. M.
