2 Add lengths of wire along the short sides of the box to make a sliding mechanism. Make and attach a title panel, then embellish

Q

HOW CAN I STORE ALL THE CARDS I MAKE?

JENNY PEARCE SAYS:

A

A card organiser box would be a good idea for your needs! Similar to a recipe card organiser, you can store all your handmade cards in one place. Dividers separate them into categories such as birthday, anniversary, wedding or thank you so you can find what you need quickly and easily. I created this organiser from a large sturdy box with the lid cut off, but you could also easily make your own from

scratch. The dividers are created from strong card, folded in half. You can make this a simple crease or create a small concertina if you wish to have an expanding divider. I added labels for each theme by attaching different punched shapes to the dividing files, ensuring each one is positioned off-set from the previous one. You can then write on your preferred categories. When embellishing, I used a hot melt glue gun to keep things quick and speedy (from £6.60, 01428 751358, gluesdirect.co.uk)

“This organiser is really user-friendly – when you’re looking for a card, you can take out a whole divider to see everything on that theme”
