Characteristics Of Myself Essay

We, as human beings, have many characteristics and traits that we view of our self positively; however, some traits do change due to our insecurity of other individual judgments which may lead to the outcome of others viewing us differently. This report will briefly explain the way I see myself portray to the society and how other majority individuals see the individual I truly am.

The qualities I consider that I do not have for my personality is I am not creative, confident, compulsive, curious, humorous and selfish. This shows that I am an individual who is selfless or inquisitive. Although, I am not confident nor am I compulsive or humorous this demonstrates I am introverted from the society and would like to be hidden in the dark when it comes to presentations or meeting new strangers. I am not proud of this since I realized I care way too much about what others have their opinions on me. If I were confident and cared less about what others thought about me, I would have the traits as compulsive, confident, humorous and much more. In addition, this is one of the reasons why others think I am shy at times due to my lack of confidence. Therefore, I do have to work on putting myself out there to the society which will slowly happen.

What is your ideal self? Do you want to be a college graduate, married, mother/father, homeowner, cultured, musical? Your current state is called the actual self and the person that you want to be is called the ideal self. An ideal self–concept is how you would like a situation or outcome to be, for example completing a degree program or not being stuck in traffic. Actual self–concept is what your current situation or outcome is, for example being in school for a degree or being stuck in traffic. For one to achieve their goal, they must work hard to move through the difficult phases of their goals. Different personalities create and complete different types of goals, some individuals have many life goals along with smaller goals within that in order to achieve them, in this research they will be referred to as future minded–thinkers. Other individuals do very little planning for the future, therefore they have little to no goals set for their future, in this research they will be referred to as present minded–thinkers. The best way to gain information about an individual's personality is to ask them what kind of person they are (Back, Egloff, & Schmukle, 2009). Research suggests that type A personalities have three major components; competitive achievement striving, time urgency, and hostility (Strube, et al., 1986). Descriptive Essay Final The downtown metropolis can be a complex place, and some may need to become accustomed to it. It is Five O' Clock in the afternoon. The sun is starting to drag itself lower, dimming the landscape, leaving a majestic orange on the horizon. The towering structures above leave enormous shadows on the people below. Car horns ring and sirens pulse, as the people make haste towards there destinations, rushing aggressively as if though it is a race. The end of the work day has just began. Lush, green trees are everywhere. Every house and small business seems to have one or two of them. The car makes it's way down a small street, with old fashioned houses. The car comes to a halt in front of a beautiful tan house. The house feels cozy. The tan painted planks of wood stack up until they reach the charcoal shingles of the rooftop. Two enormous windows are on the front of the house, with fine, white curtains that can be seen hanging from them on the other side. On the left side of a house there is a large chimney, which gives the house a traditional look with it's brown and red bricks. In the front yard of the house there is a smooth, clean concrete walkway to the front door, surrounded by many bushes, and flowers; trimmed perfectly. This house is well kept, and it stands out as a beauty in the neighborhood. The man walks up his paved walkway, and into the house through a large white door, with four small windows on it, and a cross like pattern beneath them. The doors gives of the look as if it is an entryway to heaven. The house is peaceful. Only the birds chirping in the trees can be heard. And as the man enters his house excited children raise there voices, "Daddy Daddy!". This family man is
