COMMITMENT TO SATISFACTION

PHYSICAL LITERACY

Panorama is totally committed to satisfying you with our classes, programs, events and facilities in which you participate. If you are not completely satisfied with our service delivery, please tell us and we will do the following:

Just like reading and writing, movement is a learned skill. Like ABCs and 123s, physical literacy is the ability to read, write and count but, in a physical dimension! It breaks down complex movements into fundamental components & skills, and mastery is crucial for ensuring lifelong participation & enjoyment of physical activity.

1 2 3

Attempt to rectify any concerns you may have. Transfer your registration to another program or session. If the above steps do not meet your satisfaction, we will review the circumstances and consider issuing a partial/full refund subject to our administrative fee.

Look for these symbols or flip to page 38 for more information regarding physical literacy and the fundamental movement skills!

For more information, see page 81.

PHYSICAL LITERACY Just like reading and writing, movement is a learned skill. Like ABCs and 123s, physical literacy is the ability to read, write and count but, in a physical dimension! It breaks down complex movements into fundamental components & skills, and mastering these skills at an early age sets individuals up for lifelong participation and enjoyment of physical activity. Including the ability to confidently & competently throw, catch, jump, strike, run, kick, and move with good balance, agility & coordination, physical literacy is important for more than just participation in sport, but also navigating activities of daily life and opening social opportunities! Get started on developing your physical literacy and learning the fundamental movement skills this season!

On a personal level, Cathy decided to learn how to swim more efficiently so joined the Masters Swim Club, and has found it VERY challenging.. She is a music lover, beginner guitar player for many, many years, amateur silversmith and a member of the Victoria Master Gardener’s Association, trying her best to keep her plants healthy too!

Developed by BC Women’s Hospital, this is a fall-prevention program consisting of strength, balance and stretching exercises that are safe for those with osteoporosis.
