ELDER COLLEGE Sage-ing: Growing Older and Wiser

Tweeting on Twitter

Instructor: Dr. Lynda W. Miller ‘Wisdom doesn’t necessarily come with age; sometimes age shows up all by itself!’ (Andrew Carnegie). Sage-ing is the process of growing wiser, of becoming elders, not just ‘old folks.’ It’s a learning process for the body, mind, heart, and spirit. This is sacred work -serious work- and deeply satisfying. But when and where in our community are people in the second half of life thinking and talking about it? Elder College provides a time and a place to explore ideas and ways of connecting to, and sharing, the wisdom of our years of life experience. In a blend of informal lectures, discussions, meaningful experiential activities, and lightheartedness, we’ll consider the topics of life review, life repair, life completion and legacy. The program will be offered in a comfortable and confidential group atmosphere which will respect diversity in points of view, spiritual beliefs and personal participating in the class.
