Panorama offers several leadership opportunities for youth, which will provide them with the tools needed to lead programs and camps for children. Some of these programs include: Babysitting Training (11-15 yrs) Future Leaders (13-16 yrs) - Offered Spring Break & Summer First Aid Courses (12 yrs+) Every year Panorama hires seasonal staff to lead children’s activities and camps. Babysitting Training

Designed by the Canada Safety Council, this course covers rights and responsibilities, child development, behavioral problems, nutrition, safety, handling emergencies or a sick child, games, and basic first aid. Participants will work from a child care manual; each course graduate is presented with a wall certificate and graduation wallet card. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation trains rescuers in the skills and knowledge needed to assess and provide basic life support to patients with airway, breathing, or circulatory emergencies. The Automated External Defibrillator Responder (AED) builds on the skills and knowledge learned in CPR and first aid courses. It provides knowledge of how the heart works, what goes wrong when defibrillation is required and teaches when and how to safely operate an AED. This certification course is designed for individuals who are required to render first aid as part of their job. Candidates must have a current CPR or First Aid certification. 10am - 3pm

Leadership & Training Standard First Aid with CPR C

Emergency First Aid with CPR Level A

Standard First Aid provides comprehensive training covering all aspects of first aid and CPR. This course is for those who want an indepth understanding of first aid such as: head and spinal injuries, bone and joint injuries, hot and cold illness, abdominal and chest injuries, burns, and other medical emergencies. Includes CPR Level C certification. All first aid courses offered through Panorama Recreation comply with Section 23 of the Child Care Licensing Regulation of Community Care and Assisted Living Act.

Emergency First Aid is designed for people who want a general knowledge of first aid principles and the emergency treatment of injuries. The NLS program develops a sound understanding of lifeguarding principles, good judgement, communication skills, and a mature responsible attitude toward the role of the lifeguard. Welcome on board for the launch of our fabulous Aqua Yoga Series. This is the start of something truly amazing. This Aqua Infused Linear Yoga Movement Experience is designed for recreational pool temperatures. The majority of movements in this course are designed for chest to shoulder depth water. The Canadian Aquafitness Leaders Alliance provides topnotch training and access to up-to-date information for fitness professionals in one on one and group settings.
