President’s Letter Welcome to “A Time for Tea, “ the 2013 New Member and Debutante Announcement Tea, presented by the Laguna Chapter of National Charity League, Inc. (NCL). Today we celebrate three significant Chapter traditions: the introduction of our Provisionals and Legacies, the recognition of our Seniors and their mothers, and the announcement of the Debutante Class of 2013. To our new members and Legacies; today we welcome you to the Laguna Chapter and we look forward to sharing in your journey in NCL over the next six years. We hope that as you listen to the Mother-Daughter tributes and to the achievements of our graduating Ticktockers, you will feel the excitement and anticipation that these senior girls and their mothers felt as they began their NCL journey six years ago. As you watch the afternoon unfold, you will get a glimpse of what awaits you in our organization in the years ahead. To our seniors; today we honor all of your wonderful accomplishments and your growth from seventh grade schoolgirls into mature and confident young women ready to embark on the adventures and challenges of college and beyond. We send you out into the world with love, much admiration and the hope that the Laguna Chapter of NCL has played an important role in making you into the extraordinary women that stand before us today. We look forward to honoring your service to NCL, Laguna Chapter at the Twenty-third Annual Debutante Ball on December 28, 2013. We give special thanks and recognition to our Luncheon Chair, Barbara Massrey, and her entire committee for organizing this wonderful event. Their remarkable dedication to making today a special occasion will be evident as you enjoy your afternoon with us. Thank you, as well, to our Ways and Means Co-Chairs, Sue Buckley and Joyce D’Epagnier, and their committee for organizing our silent auction fundraiser. Through the efforts of this committee, and because of the generous participation of our members and guests, we are able to provide significant monetary support to our Chapter’s philanthropies. One hundred percent of what is raised today will be given to these organizations that are very dear to the heart of our Chapter. National Charity League, Inc., Laguna Chapter has a rich tradition of twenty-eight years of service that is shared by mothers and daughters working together in the community. Thank you to all of our members and their families and friends for supporting our organization throughout the year and for joining us today to share in this joyous celebration. All my best, Janan Pisano President, Laguna Chapter National Charity League, Inc.
