CRS NEWSLETTER Note From The President’s Desk: Greetings CRS Family: It looks like Spring is trying to spring and we are fairly certain that this Spring Market will spring forth with robust activity! There are two things you should do to get ready NOW: 1.

Make sure you attend this Thursday Feb 27th, Hardcore Prospecting Class taught by our own local CRS Instructor Leroy Houser. That will be the ideal class to jumpstart your Spring prospecting! It is also good for 3 hours of CE Credit.

2. Sign up for the 2-day CRS 206 Class scheduled April 23 & 24, “Technologies to Advance Your Business,” taught by the CRS world renown instructor Mike Selvaggio. If you take only one class this year, this is the one! Your competition will be glad if you don’t! This class is good for 16 CRS Core credits. If you know someone looking to get the CRS designation, let them know about this class since 16 CRS Core credits will go a long way towards their designation.

We have some other great things going on this year as well. For our Chapter With A Heart project this year, we plan to work with CARITAS. We are excited, because not only will we help a local charity, but also provide a service for many of our seller clients. Janie Peterson is working on that now so stay tuned for details. Also, make sure you block off October 3 on your calendar for a full day of Business Planning with Leroy Houser. I know most of you yawn when you hear “Business Planning.” If anyone knows anything about Leroy Houser, he only will come to teach practical and easy to implement practices that bring results! This will help you to get organized to set your 2015 on fire! Remember, a CRS is a PHD of Real Estate! I look forward to seeing you at our Chapter Events!

Blake 2/27—Hardcore Prospecting with Leroy Houser Creating Leads is the #1 job of every real estate agent and every real estate company and office. Without sufficient leads nothing works. This seminar has one focus, LEADS, and how to get them. A fresh new seminar that is built on the realities of the “marketplace” and includes those techniques & systems that the top 20% of agents use to sell 80% of the Real Estate! NEWSLETTER CHAPTER WITH A HEART CHARITY PROJECT: Furniture to help the homeless in our own community, a system to help our clients dispose of no longer needed gently used furniture including a tax receipt, and a promotion for our companies and our individual business—THIS IS OUR 2014 CARS CHARITY PROJECT! We will partner with the Caritas Furniture Bank to provide a sustainable resource of furniture for our community’s homeless. How many times do we have clients with furniture that they no longer can use. What a great service we will be able to provide by having our own POD available to which they can take their items and get a tax deductible receipt! And, if they want their items picked up we can coordinate the furniture bank moving and picking up the items at their home for a small fee. All the donate items stay in the community and are never sold. Formerly homeless employees and volunteers pick up, collect, sort, load, and deliver furniture while learning important job skills along the way. Over 75 local non-profit and social service agencies screen and refer families and individuals in need of basic household items. What a terrific way to join hands in the community to help lift up those in need as well as helping our clients! Stay tuned for the location of the POD and our furniture drive special event! If you are interested in helping or having a POD at your office location, please contact Janie Peterson, Long & Foster at 539-5200.
