From the Office of the Superintendent Welcome to AISD! The goal of AISD is to ensure a very productive and exciting learning environment for all students. Educators in our district are committed to making sure that the learning environment provides students with individualized instruction and support. Teachers accept nothing less than the best from all students and hold fast to their dreams of what each student can become. Teachers recognize that every student has unique characteristics and that instruction must be differentiated to meet their needs. Teachers are role model for students, both at school and away from school. Growth is rapid in AISD; voters passed a $166,000,000 bond in May 2017. This bond will provide learning spaces for students through the addition of 12 classrooms at the current high school, Phase II of the future high school which is currently the middle school, and two elementaries. Renovations at existing campuses, technology, transportation, an administration building, and a transportation center are also included. I became your superintendent in January of 2009 after serving as interim for 10 months in 2008. My own background of experience includes teacher, counselor, assistant principal, principal, assistant superintendent, and superintendent. I am honored to work in AISD and serve the needs of the students, parents, and staff in the district. Please feel free to contact me at any time.

Argyle ISD Police Department

In 2013 the Argyle ISD Board of Trustees voted to establish the Argyle ISD Police Department. Establishing the police department was part of a broader effort to lead the way in protecting Argyle ISD schools, personnel, and students. The Argyle ISD Police Department is responsible for school security as well as law enforcement on school property and at school functions. Argyle ISD police officers are sworn officers trained to the same standards as municipal police departments and have arrest authority. AISD Police Department's jurisdiction covers all of Argyle ISD, including the town of Argyle, and portions of Flower Mound, Denton, Northlake, Bartonville and unincorporated Denton County. They patrol campuses and are responsible for investigating incidents. Argyle ISD Police Chief Paul Cairney can be reached at pcairney@argyleisd.com
