Teaching to Talk Dear Exchange Students, Welcome to Palacký University in Olomouc! We have prepared an English course focused on improving both your communication and academic skills in the English language. The course includes English grammar, general academic English vocabulary, critical reading and reading comprehension, academic writing, presentation and communication skills. The course fee of 20 lessons (20 × 90 minutes) is 2,500 CZK (approx. 95 euros). The price includes study materials and access to an e-learning system with additional exercises and materials. The price is also student-friendly thanks to subsidization from the Rector’s Office. The course takes place at the Faculty of Arts every Friday on třída Svobody 26 Street. It begins on Friday, October 3 (registration from 8:15). The first four weeks have a more intensive schedule of teaching (9:00–12:00 and 13:00–14:30). From October 31 onwards, the schedule is less intensive, with one 90-minute class every Friday (9:00–10:45) till the end of the semester (December 12).
