The inspiration ethos of this collection is based in a dreamscape crystalline dewdrops over the velveteen petals of a rose and raindrops creating an opulent effervescence in a foggy ambience, spotted sporadically by the sudden brightness of colour from the flowers. Heavily embellished with Swarovski crystals and Gara work, this collection is ethereally feminine. th is week, we explore peshawar through the eyes of the photographer , artist, photojour nalis t and freelance photographer k haula jamil. it was her first time here and she was taken in by the sights, sounds and s mells of this beautiful city. like a true ins tagram mer, she wanted to document every th ing at once. here are some of our favo urites :

The Sethi House has 12 rooms, four basements and a fountain. Colourful glass ceilings with geometrical designs, woodwork with engravings of various splendid designs on walls, a big resting place, made of wood and called Takht-e-Sulaimani to take sunshine in winter, beautiful ventilators and slanting window-shades are some prominent features of the house.

It's a real shame that such gorgeous architectural houses do not get made anymore. Perhaps times have changed or perhaps these aren't practical anymore - one can simply be grateful someone in the past was inclined towards having these made.

Peshawar is filled with peaceful people who live in high alert and fear of their lives and yet did not appear untrusting or cold when we walked through their streets. May Allah protect them.

Near the gorgeous Sethi house, the entire mohalla was absolutely gorgeous in the old pre-partition rustic sense. According to Wikipedia, the mohallah contains seven house. Each of these houses are a blend of the art and architecture of Gandhara and Central Asia. The first was built by Haji Ahmed Gul in 1882.

n today’s world, being healthy has become synonymous with being fit. Salad bowls, green smoothies, no or low carbs and selfies at the gym are all the rage. Everyone seems to know the importance of a healthy body, even if it is means only to fit into one’s favorite jeans. For this, we eat right and exercise regularly. Dietary supplements are a staple in our lives. Fad diets have made many rich and of course some thin. But then why are so many of us depressed, stressed, unhappy and in a constant rush? Why do millions suffer from lifestyle diseases such as diabetes, obesity and insomnia? How many of us truly live in the moment?

Financial, relationship, and job stresses are taking their toll on the physical health and our emotional wellbeing.

Healthy lifestyle does not only consist of a healthy body but also requires a healthy mind and a nurtured soul. Just like any other organism, the body does not operate in isolation. There is a strong disconnect between our mind, body and soul.

The soul requires: inspiration, inner calm and trust.

It is imperative to get the body, mind and soul to work in synergy to achieve health. One must exercise the body regularly with practices that incorporate strengthening, mind body coordinating and balancing movements. One also needs to relearn how to breathe consciously and to breathe fully. Move freely like a dancer. Healing one’s body with sufficient resting periods, sleep and relaxation is vital. Start reinforcing positive thoughts for your own self and for others. Experience and spread love and gratitude all around. Try to be nonjudgmental. Work on emotional and material attachments. Go out in nature.

Absorb the surroundings. Listen. Find stillness. Be silent.

Trust intuition. Once we channel our physical energy into soulful purists, we will create a meaningful life, one filled with a sense of purpose, energy and vitality that reflects true health.
