Who are we? The Digital Arts Club seeks to promote the artists who are in the Art and Multimedia programs at Berkeley City College. This includes digital artists, photographers, traditional artists, printmakers, animators, film and video artists. We have a website which details the shows in which we are participating and we mount free exhibitions every year.

How much does this cost? It is free to members of the Digital Arts Club at Berkeley City College.

How do I become a member? Membership is open to any student or instructor in the Berkeley City College Multimedia Arts or Fine Arts departments.

How do I join ? Come to a meeting, sign up and participate. Everyone is welcome. All meetings are held the third Friday of every month at 5pm in the 4th floor conference room.

Submitting Video & Animations Submissions must meet the following specs:

Web Art We are especially interested in expanding our showcase to the category of WEB ART (not to be confused with Website Art). We are challenging those of you who are working in photography, Photoshop compositing, interactivity, animation, video, sound, and web design to use the internet to make art that could not exist in any other way. For a detailed discussion of what WEB ART (aka INTERNET ART) is, visit:

Submitting Digital Artwork, Traditional Artwork and Photography Images must be: 450 pixels high by 350 wide Format: jpg Resolution: 72 ppi Limit: 4 images per artist Title: files must be titled: 1.jpg, 2.jpg, 3.jpg, 4.jpg. (Please put any other info in your documentation, not in the file name.) In your documentation be sure to include:

Submit by CD or DVD to Jan Dove’s instructor mailbox by hand at BCC or US POST: Jan Dove, BCC, 2050 Center St. Berkeley CA 94704.

Submit by email to info@digitalartsclub.com. Or you can submit by CD as listed under videos and animations. Traditional artists (paintings, drawings and prints, etc.) must photograph, scan or otherwise convert their images to digital form and submit work as described above. See your instructor if you need help.
