Junya Watanabe Junya Watanabe is a Japanese fashion designer who graduated from the Bunka Fashion College in 1984. Under the label of Comme de Garรงons, he started showing his designs in 1993. He now designs for his own label.

Alexander McQueen The current designer for Alexander McQueen is Sarah Burton. The previous designer, for whom the brand is named, based his designs on concept more than function. He’s known for his Atlantis collection and his “Highland Rape” collections. Sarah Burton’s designs for the brand are less conceptual and more wearable yet still remain true to the designs of Mcqueen before his death in 2010.

Gucci The brand was established by Guccio Gucci in 1921, selling luggage. The brand later began to design clothing after Guccio’s grandson Paolo took over it in the 1960s. The Gucci family lost the label in 1993, and Tom Ford took over the brand. The current designer for the brand is Alessandro Michele, who took over in 2015. Since these changes to the brand’s ownership, the styles of the clothes changed.

Babyghost Babyghost is a streetwear brand that takes inspiration from the cities of New York and Shanghai as well as from its consumers’s style, particularly Xiao Wen Ju, the brand’s ambassador. The designers are Joshua Huppert and Qiaoran Huang.

Delpozo Delpozo is known for its exquisite construction of clothing that’s also created in a unique way. Its design is to take up space and to appear to contain volume. Delpozo’s creative directior is Joseph Font. The designer often uses artists as a reference for his clothing designs- for spring 2017, he used Joaquín Sorolla and Soo Sunny Park.

HervĂŠ LĂŠger The designer of the brand is Lubov Azria. In her Spring 2017 collection, she wanted to replace the connotation of the bandage dress from sexy to romantic. She achieved this connotation by placing butterfly-shaped ties along the bust and hip areas. Her attempt to subvert the connotation of the body-con dress appeared successful, proving her skills as a designer.

John Galliano John Galliano is a British designer who was the head designer of Givenchy and Christian Dior. He’s known for his whimsical designs and lack of business skills. He was British Designer of the Year in 1987, 1994 and 1997. His fashion design interest began from his mother, a Flamenco teacher. She would dress him up simply to leave the house, and it’s possible that this early instilling of a sense of style carried on from his youth.

Alberta Ferretti Alberta Ferretti is the designer of her own label. She’s known for her delicate party dress designs, yet ponders the question of why women can’t be tough but wear delicate clothing at the same time. She’s also known for her business prowess, having founded Aeffe, a fashion distribution company.

Blumarine The designer of Blumarine is Anna Molinari. For this collection, she wanted romance to be the main point. This designer also believes that ready-to-wear should be more wearable, and not just for the red carpet.

Marc Jacobs Marc Jacobs started designing early in his life. He eventually designed womenswear for Perry Ellis, and is most well known for his grunge collection. He became Louis Vuitton’s creative director in 1997, which prompted him to abuse drugs from the stress. He stayed with Louis Vuitton and after breaking from his addictions, became the Menswear Designer of the Year in 2002.
