design premise Within the already existing retail space, I was tasked to create display spaces for four unique brands in keeping with the ambiance of the Laylow Hotel. The Brands: Flagpole is a women’s luxury swim and resort wear brand. It’s the perfect combination of modern city design and beach life. Saturdays NYC is a menswear clothing and lifestyle brand. The effortless simplistic cool are staples in any wardrobe. SALT. optics is a premium eye wear company that captures the timeless style of California natural beauty. Maak Lab apothecary explores and capture the fresh scents of the Pacific Northwest while staying dedicated to plant based and locally sourced ingredients.

analysis The Kilkenny House is located in the town of Richmond Hill, just outside of Savannah, Georgia. At the end of a tree lined street, on the banks of Kilkenny River, with views of the famous Low Country scenic shoreline. The pre-Revolutionary War property began as a cotton plantation in the early 1700’s. The wooden structure was originally built in 1845, surviving the Civil War and Sherman’s March to the Sea. In June of 1930 former president Henry Ford purchased Kilkenny and restored the house to its current condition. It is now held by the family of the original owners and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
