MORE THAN A UTOPIA projet long 22 prof. djamel klouche_ensav 2008 with matthieu bernard and thibauth lemarchand

Courbevoie, a small town suburbs of Paris which is located in a strategic position both at the same time as critical near the business district, La DĂŠfense, and overlooking the Seine in the curve of the river where he began the industrial northwest. This place is characterized by the strong presence of “dallesâ€? in large raised platforms below which there is usually a shopping mall and a parchieggio, while above are inserted so that residential buildings are completely isolated and deprived of contact direct contact with the road. You have chosen to make strong action, following the example of urban planning projects that stem from the theories of the 60s radicals of Superstudio and Archigram Archizoom.A grid covering the entire city where the modules are inserted that combine to create new public and private spaces with the possibility to extend to infinity which connects the city with pre-existing vertical access.Modular architecture, and quasinomade parasitic encounters with mega. The modules are aggregated and are made in the grid are almost a second city, separate but in fact represents the evolution and expansion of the existing one.Since you can not expand beyond its territorial boundaries doubling the city grows in height and increasing its density. These modules are designed to be able to aggregate both horizontally and vertically so as to provide a wide variety of forms: as a small apartment can also be formed from a single module, but with three you can create a store with ten and a great office. The modules to be mounted in two levels of the grid, it is broken in its rigid shape by curving paths that wind between the two levels in width and becoming the real public space, mobility and sociality of the new Courbevoie.

TWICE VENICE workshop prof cherubino gambardella_iuav 2008

The island is an amphibian and paradoxical being. It s a privileged place of encounter of historical or geographical reality and fantasy. One of the identities of secret Ă  Island is the story because it is the island appears as a well described and because it is, by force of geography, always appears as a world every single time, inventing outlandish stories and legends.Lonely, self-suďŹƒcient, but accessible from all points, the island is protected and at the same time wide open.Whatever you come to a island turns to belong. In the islands we feel in another world. After a while we s to dominate, but we re sure you left him.It preventive feel like a nostalgia. Ernesto Franco

Building a new isolario and a new cometography that mask in Venice. Rafts, platforms, architectures floats are open spaces available in varying configurations. The second Venice has persuasive form of many floating plates from which to admire the ancient city as a new geographical location, public spaces are available in many functions. Un’iceberg or a dune in the lagoon. You have chosen to create a new island square, which houses the indoor and outdoor pools cover with a belvedere on the lagoon. The link with water is both inside and outside inseparable. The island is gradually disappearing in the water to enter diagonally: from the tip as the bow of the ship, the entrance to ringhera, alternating solids and voids to reach the opposite edge that seems to enter the lagoon.

AGRO-CITTA DIFFUSA progettazione urbanistica prof paola viganò_iuav 2009

Analyze the know understand the urban sprawl of central Veneto breaking it down into its elements: water and asphalt. The Roman Reticulate northeast of Padua is configured as the best example representative of the urban sprawl. In fact, the dispersion pattern that characterizes this city here has gone to superimpose the pre-existence of orthogonal layout of streets from the Roman period in an area almost completely devoid of slopes. It is the isomorphism and inappropriate exploitation of land resources, but also a move away from crops for industrial buildings around which generate enormous fields left empty urban and unproductive. The proposed scenario is like the urban sprawl could exist even in the absence of oil. The dispersion was certainly favored by massification of private transport. The aggregates of the urban area of the “grating extend as small squares linear cities without going to the creation of social disadvantage among citizens. The project includes public tram infrastructure, electricity is going to install on existing orthogonal layout. It is to create an urban park, treated as wood for biomass production, with the wooden walkways that facilitate the crossing of ditches along the perimeter road. The park becomes a connector of urban fragments. This park was created in response to cririca Bernard Lassus speaking of urban sprawl as a waste of space and resources. “The park incorporates the existing constructions, re-adapted to common uses such as schools for children, shopping areas as well as storage sites of the biomass. Grilled centuriazione the Roman is to superimpose a second link for a better exploitation of resources and greater porosity of the territory, making it more easily passable by pedestrians and cyclists. This vest takes the path of the secondary roads, partially inside the main track, following and adapting to the reality of the existing urban area.A weak urbanization of gaming.

RE_CONSTRUCTION VILLARD 10 prof alberto ferlenga_in itinere 2009

Messina 08_08. An important anniversary for the city of the Strait. The earthquake that changed the face and marked forever the history of the city is still affected by the damage they caused. A Centenary in which you have the opportunity to rethink a city that is located in one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. Rebuilding means to exploit the opportunities that this landscape, and even “mistakes” we offer. The project involves the rediscovery of the broad stream of the Annunciation, the stretch terminawle which flows into the sea. A cut in the road brings to light revealing a new path level. This course is structured as a continuation of the terraced house connecting the city with the beach and at the same time the museum with the “museum city ‘that is placed on the south side of the bed of the broad stream. two levels of ramps is twisted along the longitudinal axis and widening of the terraces that create direct our gaze to the landscape framed in the narrow a stretch of road. The course is enriched with three small rooms carved into the walls to allow the exhibition of some architectural fragments left by the earthquake of 1908. The roof of the museum is divided into a shelter, creating a covered square which hosts the terminus of the tram.

ANOTHER ALEPH workshop proff solano benitez and angelo bucci_iuav 2009 with benjamin gallegos, alessandra monarcha and giulia testori

“... I saw the Aleph, from all points, I saw in Aleph the earth and the land of the new Aleph and in the Aleph the earth, I saw my face and my heart, I saw your face, and I felt dizzy and wept, because it’s my eyes had seen the ‘secret location and assumed, whose name men usurp, but that no man has contemplated: the inconceivable universe ... “ Jorge Luis Borges

The Aleph live in the thick limit, where reflection and reflective are the same, and as a line without beginning and end around the city of Venice. A reverse bridge as a connecting element between the two. The project aims to create a “square bottom” at the same time is a bridge (reflected) between the island of Giudecca and San George. The location of the bridge makes it possible not only to relate physically and connettrere two islands, but compares the two horizons from which it is composed of the city: the purely urban environment of the Basin of San Marco and the nature of the South Laguna The infrastructure will also host bridge inside another: the station of the line sublagunare. The need of the slope from an altitude -24 meters was then transformed into an opportunity to rediscover the city. This twin-island and island connected to the network also allows sublagunare Park return at the Cini Foundation and the outdoor theater that is the enjoyment of citizens.
