Built projects: Forum Trabzon ARUP 20062009 Participating all stages of the project; from inception to completion
I started working as an architect and promoted to project leader role. I managed a team of 6 architects while I was responsible for coordination of architectural group with the engineering teams and other design teams. I also coordinated the communication between design office and the site and act as a consultant and controller of the site of Forum Trabzon shopping mall project (gross construction area: 110.000m²). I participated to the all stages of the project from concept design to the opening ceremony. My role also included organizing work schedules, solving detailing problems, preparing bill of quantity and specifications, regular consultation visits to the site.
Built projects: Forum Trabzon ARUP 2006‐2009 Experience in producing construction drawing packages – including construction details
Concept Design: HABOM
Ability to develop creative and considered design solutions
Preliminary design of Turkish Airlines Maintenance Repair and Modification Centre (HABOM) inclu ncluding ding headquart headquarteers, social building, mainte maintenance building uildings, s, carpar carpark ks etc etc (170.000m²). I participat articipateed preparing paring the prelimina liminarry design package package using REVIT and technical echnical docu documentation mentation and the application of building regul egulations specific to aviation. I also pr prepar epared ed a report on the po pottential of applying su sustainable stainable design solutions utions which was then take taken as a guidance by the engineering team.
Concept Design ARUP 2006‐2009 Proficiency in various use of architectural technology in design
My role as an architect was participating in the projects by using AutoCAD and REVIT at an expert level and providing design detail solutions as a member of a design team. • Preliminary design of Ciftciler Tower building complex comprises of offices shopping centre, offices, health club (300.000m²) in corporation with HOK. • Revit model of Forum Tem Shopping Centre office building, Architectural detailed design and local architect for 70.000 m2 shopping centre, with architects L35 Architects from Spain, including technical documentation

Freelance Architect for ARUP
Facade construction package; advanced knowledge of construction methods and materials
As a team of two architects, we prepared facade construction project by creating solutions for facade system detailing of Ashgabat Olympics Complex utility, and velodrome buildings. This was an outsourced work from ARUP. The scale of the drawings was down to 1:2 and we participated in construction detail design decisions by discussing with the design group.
FOM Group Architecture 2004 2006
Strong understanding of surveying and conservation of historical buildings
My role was leading a team of architects and restorators to prepare restoration and renovation projects of the historical Pantocrator Church and Haseki Building Complex by using 3D surveying methods. I also worked in the surveying projects of multiple buildings of Suleymaniye Historical Building Complex which is one of the most iconic historical sites of Istanbul and recognised as national treasure.
M&A Architecture 20022004
Experience in residential planning and construction; bespoke design
As a junior architect, I participated in renovation works of deluxe dwellings, Riva Villas, in the design office and on site
Design competition Council Building of Denizli 2009
As a team of 3 architects , we participated a design competition for the council building of Denizli. The building was required to have multi‐functional use including conference hall, library, social centre and offices; in total 16.000m². Our project was chosen to compete at the final stage but not awarded.
Environmental design projects Researcher, Consultant 20072017 Expert in building performance analysis and building physics
Sustainable Design Consultant at Hochschule Fur Technik Stutgart
I have research experience in building physics and expertise in building performance analysis focusing on retrofit design for about 10 years at postgraduate level. I am an advanced level user of dynamic energy simulation programs such as ENERGUPLUS, DESIGN BUILDER and OPEN STUDIO. I studied MSc in Turkey/ Germany, worked as a researcher in Germany and completed a doctoral training in the UK (MRes+PhD)
My role as a consultant was providing energy efficient design consultancy by creating design alternatives and running building performance analysis. I managed the projects and reported the outcomes.
During this period, I developed advanced knowledge of environmental design, low carbon buildings and building performance evaluation. I worked on various research and consultancy projects mainly on energy efficient retrofit focusing on envelope design by using building performance simulation programs. I am knowledgeable on building standards, energy performance certifications, passive building system solutions and sustainable design strategies at the expert level.
MSc at Istanbul Technical University
MRes at Loughborough University
The aim of the project was to evaluate the design parameters which are effective on energy consumption of a housing settlement. An existing energy efficient settlement in Germany was modelled and alternative design options were investigated by applying building performance simulations.
The aim of the project was to understand the absolute accuracy of the Energy Plus and the BREDEM model by comparing their predictions with the measured energy demands and internal temperatures of Archetypical UK Houses.
PhD at Loughborough University
Evaluation of Retrofit Strategies for Post‐war Office Buildings
Samples of Post‐war Office Buildings
Harvest House Offices, Portsmouth Built in 1960 , Architect: Slater & Havard
Envelope retrofit standard
The project aimed to evaluate the retrofit decision making process of post‐war office buildings (1945 ̴1980) by applying dynamic energy simulations to representative building models in order to create a guidance optimising • energy efficiency, • overheating risk, • thermal discomfort and • sophisticated cost estimations. By comparing • various orientations • Part L vs EnerPHit, • 2015 vs 2050 • Passive vs Active Cooling • City centre vs Other city conditions

BArch MSGSU Architecture 19972004
I studied architecture at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University which has a significant tradition and a strong reputation for theoretical architecture education.
Lecturer/ University teacher Loughborough University, Nottingham Trent University
Teaching ability, high motivation and organisation skills for large number of audiences
In the last 5 years, I have taught about 350 students over 220 hours of content on Architecture and Architectural Technology (REVIT, AUTOCAD and SKETCHUP) in accredited modules as well as in the events and workshops I have co/organized. This experience improved my technical skills as well as motivational communication skills for the large number of audiences; teaching a program requires the ability to think in detail and predicting the potential mistakes.
