If the student does not acknowledge responsibility or disputes the accusation of the violation of academic integrity, the student and faculty member will enter into the formal process described in the Student Conduct Process which may include a hearing before the Conduct Committee. Upon completion of the informal or formal process, students have the right to appeal the decision through the grievance policy outlined in the OCC Grievance Policy. The Academics Office maintains records of all student violations of Academic Integrity. Petition for Reinstatement A student who has been denied services or has been dismissed because of a violation of the Academic Integrity Policy may petition for reinstatement no sooner than two years from the date of the final decision. The petition must be in writing, must present a rationale for reinstatement, and must be addressed to the Executive VP of Academics, Ozark Christian College, 1111 North Main Street, Joplin, MO 64801. Students who are subsequently reinstated will be governed by the academic policies in effect at the time of reinstatement.
