The extremely lopsided Semi Final between these two should not discourage and Kinglake supporters as it is not an accurate reflection of the gap between them.

With the H&A meetings between the two, never being decided by any more than three goals, highlighting the closeness between the two.
This season has been a two-horse race, with the chasing pack, being left behind in the dust. Warburton Millgrove went through the whole season undefeated, whilst Kinglake’s only losses came at the hands of Warburton Millgrove. The top 9 goal scorers during the H&A season all come from these two sides, which provides an even stronger indication as to how strong these two sides are.
Warburton are by far the most potent team both with regards to attack and defence, averaging a tick under 90 points per game, however only average 56 points against their challenger in Kinglake.
Although the closeness of their H&A meetings, the blowout in the Semi Final, shouldn’t be swept under the rug by Kinglake. Although not indicative of the closeness between the two sides all season, it’s a sign that if you’re off by even a little bit, that the opposition can capitalise on that.
Albeit, comedically inaccurate Warburton Millgrove were still able to stroll into a victory, dispatching Kinglake to the tune 46 points, with their seven goals all coming from individual goal kickers, a stat that would please their coach.
Damien Egan and Ashley Taylor are the two focal points up forward Warburton Millgrove, with 34 and 24 goals respectively with stars Marcel Kocher, Damien Ferguson and Joshua Read looking to propel their side to victory. If Egan and Taylor have silver service, then that will go a long way to taking out the Premiership.
Whilst Kinglake’s hopes rely on consistent goal scorers in Brendan Howlett (32), Brent Freeman (24) and Justin Banbury (24 from 11 games), with gun mid Jamie Chalmers (rated elite for contested mark with 4.5 per game and intercept marks) and skipper Andrew Griffiths hoping to be pivotal in this affair.
Will the semi final result hinder Kinglake’s confidence or will they make this into an old-fashioned armwrestle.
