THE BAPTISM OF THE LORD Observed on the Sunday after 6 January Where the Solemnity of the Epiphany is transferred to Sunday, if this Sunday occurs on 7 or 8 January, the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord is celebrated on the following Monday. These Propers, or those for the Epiphany, serve for the weekdays between the Baptism of the Lord and the following Sunday.

eavenly Father, whose blessed Son Jesus Christ did take

our nature upon him, and was baptised for our sakes in the river Jordan: mercifully grant that we, being regenerate and made thy children by adoption and grace, may also be partakers of thy Holy Spirit; through the same Jesus Christ thy Son our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, ever one God, world without end. Amen.
