Colleagues Celebrate Dr. Stephen K. Young’s 15-Year Deanship On the evening of Jan. 30, nearly 300 faculty, alumni, friends and colleagues celebrated Dr. Stephen K. Young as he stepped down from his 15-year deanship. Longtime friend and colleague Dr. Mike Rohrer emceed the event, which was held at the Oklahoma City Civic Center Hall of Mirrors. It included a heart-warming roast of Dr. Young by his peers, an overview of his career accomplishments presented by Dr. John Dmytryk, and the unveiling of his portrait painted by artist Mike Wimmer. The portrait will hang alongside the two other former deans of the college in the Dean’s Office.
