SCHOLARSHIP DAY MAY 5 In addition t o scholarships offer ed to w inners in the State contest, O tterbein is offering three special tuition scholarships of $160 each t o b e award ed o n Scholarship D ay, May 5. Contestants will need to h ave ranked in the upper third of their hig h school class and a lso t o be r ecomm ended by their principal as t o cha racter and aggressiveness. Four $50 schola r ships w ill also be awarded in m u sic---two in voice and two in pia no. Each contestant must t ake a standa rdized English t est and may choose from the reg ula r college r equirem ents two other subj ects, one each from the fo llowing

grou ps : Language, Science, Hist ory, a n d Mathem atics (high school rank) . A summary of t he tests offer ed are as follows: Language-Latin , F r ench, and S panish. SciencePhysics, Chemi stry , B iology, Botany, Zoology, P hysical Geography, and General Science. H ist oryA ncient, Medieval, Modern, E ng li sh, U . S., a nd Civ ics. Mathematics-This will include r egular high school m athem a t ics. F urt h er info rma tion on r eceipt of applicati on. T he Engl ish exami nati on w ill be held at 10 o'clock in the m orn ing with the r ema ining t wo at 1 p . m . a nd 3 p. m. respectively . l\Iusic Contest at 7 :00 and 8 :00 P . M.
