BUILDING A TRADITION OF SUCCESS Winning is central to my core philosophy of athletics, both in the classroom and in the venues of athletic competition. I expect our student-athletes to strive to be champions every day and to achieve victory through hard work and dedication. My focus is putting the fine coaches and student-athletes of CSU Monterey Bay in the best possible position to succeed, which includes building the financial foundation necessary to compete for championships and achieve a level of success that makes our university and surrounding communities proud. – Vince Otoupal, Director of Athletics
