Thank you for your participation in today’s 12th Annual President’s Cup Golf Tournament. This is an exciting event and a great day for the members, friends and supporters of CSU Monterey Bay Athletics. Opportunities for our student-athletes are made possible through the success of the President’s Cup and the involvement of those who support CSUMB Athletics. Since arriving here at CSUMB, I have had a number of conversations with student-athletes, coaches, and friends of Otter Athletics around the theme that together WE can create a Culture of Success – in the classroom and on the field of play. Putting the fine coaches and student-athletes of CSUMB in the best possible position to succeed will be the everyday focus of the Athletic Department. I want to thank you for your continued and future support. Private funding is critical to our success and your participation today shows the value you hold for Otter Athletics. Our Culture of Success will be built by the people who show dedication, passion and support at all levels of the organization – coaches, student athletes, administration, parents, friends and boosters. TOURNAMENT RULES AND PRIZES

TOURNAMENT RULES U.S.G.A. rules govern all play, with the following exceptions: • T  he tournament format is a 4-person scramble. Each team member may place the ball within one (1) club length of the selected shot, no nearer the hole. If the shot selected is played from a hazard, bunker, rough, fairway, or fringe of the green, again the ball must be played from within one (1) club length of the shot selected and must remain in the hazard, bunker rough, fairway, or fringe of the green. • W  hen putting, once any ball is holed out, no further strokes count. The team is cautioned not to make “tap” in putts until all team members have had the opportunity to attempt the team’s original putt. The original putt may be moved a maximum of two (2) inches from the mark, no nearer the hole. To speed play, two putts allowed per green. • O  n every hole, each member of the team may hit a tee shot. Each member’s tee shot must be used a minimum of 2 times. All members of the team may then hit from that position. This procedure is repeated until the ball is holed out. Members of the women’s and men’s golf teams will be available around the course to hit tee shots that you have the option of using. • Men play from the White tees. Women play from the Red tees. • M  ulligans are available for purchase at check in. There is no limit on the number of mulligans a player may purchase, however, mulligans must be purchased before the round begins in order to be used during the round. Mulligans may be used at any time during the round except that shots played using a mulligan do not qualify for closestto-the-hole and long drive prizes. • T  he purpose of the President’s Cup is to raise money to benefit CSUMB Athletics. Please keep this purpose in mind while playing, have fun, and please accept our sincere thanks for your generous support.
