SAY GOODBYE TO OUT OF CONTROL DIABETES, LECTURES FROM YOUR DOCTOR AND DANGEROUS DRUGS! There’s a brand-new breakthrough that’s been kept well hidden from the general public for some time… It’s called DIAXINOL, and it just might be enough to keep your loved ones from hovering over you every time you sit down at the dinner table. It might even help you silence another lecture from your doctor the next time you go in for a checkup.

Now, It Doesn’t Mean You Can Start Eating Like A Kid In A Candy Store…

But it means you can feel confident knowing you’re doing something extra to keep feeling your best. In other words…You’ll be feeling sharp and alert… instead of sluggish and cloudy. You’ll know you’re taking bold steps toward being set free from worsening diabetes…Best of all, you can live your life without thinking about sugar spikes and “food guilt” every minute of the day!

If You’re Taking Medication For Diabetes And…

• Still find it’s very difficult to lose weight • Always feel drained of energy, tired and sluggish • Get bad reports at your doctor’s office about your cholesterol • Find you have frequent mood swings and poor memory • Find you get colds and other infections often

I have bad news for you, because all of those symptoms are a sign of out of control blood sugar. That means your medication is doing a poor job of controlling your Diabetes... But don’t blame your doctor just yet he or she is limited to what Big Pharma puts out on the market. And to be honest Pharma sharks are only looking for ways to keep you alive long enough to turn a giant profit …So isn’t it time to try something that actually keeps you from having to hear more lectures, add more pills, and stick yourself with more injections? What makes DIAXINOL so powerful is that it contains a potent combination of Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA), Biotin and Cinnulin. This combination spells SWEET VICTORY for any Diabetic because ALA is like a taxi for sugar

the study subjects were able to effectively maintain normal blood sugar levels with the ALA alone. Further research investigated the additional use of Biotin and concluded, “the beta cells may be regenerated in type 2 diabetic patients on Biotin.” molecules, driving them into the muscle where they belong so they get burned for energy instead of being stored as fat. Biotin turbo-charges activity in the pancreas; by increasing the number of Beta cells and their production of insulin, enhancing insulin sensitivity and accelerating sugar metabolism. And finally Cinnulin (a patented Cinnamon extract) substantially increases glucose tolerance which means you can withstand more calories before your glucose levels spike; at the same time Cinnulin reduces insulin resistance, and increases lean body mass while reducing body fat–and that’s why DIAXINOL is worthy of every penny of its production. Because in short order you’ll see: 1. Your blood sugar begin to balance 2. Your body begin to produce and utilize insulin more efficiently 3. Your cholesterol stop creeping up and up 4. It’s easier to maintain a healthy weight and reduced cravings 5. Increases in your energy levels and less energy crashes 6. A sharper mind and elevated moods 7. A stronger immune system 8. Better protection of your heart, kidneys, eyes and overall health

Are You Thinking “Yeah, Right” Don’t Be Skeptical Yet, We Have Proof! In one clinical trial, 22 people with type 2 Diabetes who were taking oral diabetes drugs also took 600 mg of ALA daily. Participants experienced significant reductions in blood sugar, hemoglobin A1C and glycosylated plasma protein levels. More remarkably, at the end of the 18-month study, the participants were able to reduce their drug dosages, and five of

[I] saw this advertised in a flyer. My doctor suggested I go ahead and try this after needing to stop Metformin because of major side effects. It may sound amazing but this actually lowered my sugar better than the drug. Nice to use something without side effects.

– Joilen A, Acworth

In another study, researchers gave 24 men and women with diabetes 250 mg of Cinnulin or placebo twice daily. Cinnulin helped to maintain healthy blood sugar levels in 83% of subjects in the treatment group, compared to 33% in the placebo group. My pharmacist recommended this supplement along with diet changes to help lower my blood sugar. My A1C had gotten as high as 7.2, just over 8 month after that I was down to 5.8 and lost about 10 lbs. A little pricey but worth it. – Jack H, Marietta

If you’re like most other Diabetics you have noticed over the years that the amount of prescriptions you take, their doses and costs have only increased. But now it’s time for you to try something that is going to support your body right at the core of Diabetes. DIAXINOL helps support the function of beta cells on your pancreas. The result of this support in the pancreas is more natural production of Insulin and better control of Diabetes while being able to scale back on prescription drugs. We GUARANTEE these results for you! If DIAXINOL fails to work for you simply return the empty bottle for a hassle-free refund of your entire purchase. So get DIAXINOL for $49.98 today if you want control over Diabetes. Free Shipping With Auto-Ship Of 1 Bottle Free Shipping With Purchase Of 2 Bottles Free Shipping & $47.98 Ea. STYLE REPORT Spring has officially sprung! Let the spring cleaning begin. However this year don’t just focus on your home. May I suggest spring cleaning your body? Sounds a bit weird, I know. But, after years of the good food/bad food struggle I refuse to talk to my children in that language, hopefully they will have a healthier relationship with food then I had. However, if your house is like mine food is always a topic of discussion. Instead of making any food off limits, I try to ask them what the food does for their body and if they feel like their body needs it... for example, does it help you have energy? Does it help you run faster? How does it make your feel? (And the biggie in my house) Does it help you go to the bathroom? In our eternal quest to make food a fun adventure in my home we like to look up how each food group helps us. In doing this I discovered that the Internet is filled with questions like this:

“I’m doing my skincare ritual every morning and evening, but I’m still breaking out.” ... the answer is always very similar, in the form of another question... “HOW’S YOUR DIET?”  As a society we get so caught up in the taste of food, we forget that food has power...not power to control us, but power that can help us! If you eat well and make healthy choices, food can help so many things when it comes to your body, including your skin!

The bottom line is that whatever’s going on inside your gut will eventually show in your skin. “I tell my patients that what they put in their mouths is as important as the products they apply on their skin,” said Dr. Jessica Wu. She wrote an incredible book titled, “Feed your Face”. I thought it was definitely worth the read and here are some of her suggestions.

EAT VEGETABLES IN 3 COLORS:

Red: (especially tomatoes) Tomatoes help reduce sun damage. They’re high in the antioxidant lycopene, which helps fight free radicals. Yellow: Along with antioxidants, sunny-colored foods also have an abundance of vitamin C. Studies suggest that these bountiful nutrients will help your heart, vision, digestion and immune system. Other benefits of naturally  yellow foods  include maintenance of healthy skin, wound healing, and stronger bones and teeth. Green: choose darker green greens like kale or spinach. These vegetables fight the free radicals that break down collagen over time, so they can help support the delicate, thin skin around your eyes.” *The darker and brighter the color, the more nutrients.

PAGE 7

by Tara Hanover

Registered dietitian and nutrition expert, Alex Caspero, says if you want gorgeous skin follow this advice: Eat “foods high in skin-strengthening Omega-3 fatty acids (think sardines, chia seeds, flaxseed and walnuts), collagen-boosting vitamin C (bell peppers, strawberries, citrus fruits, kale and broccoli) and antioxidant-rich vitamins A and E (almond butter, Swiss chard, wheat germ, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, carrots and cantaloupe).” Celebrity esthetician (and founder of the eponymous salon and skincare line) Joanna Vargas says, “I find that the best skin diet is one that involves eating vegetables of different colors for every meal and a green juice every day,” If I have a client who doesn’t eat salad or drink green juices, I tell them to go to Whole Foods and buy liquid chlorophyll. It tastes like mint, oxygenates the skin and works from the inside-out to keep the skin healthy and glowing.” Now we all know that drinking water is one of the best things you can do to keep your skin in shape. But did you realize it not only keeps your skin moist, it makes fine lines and wrinkles less noticeable. It also helps your cells take in nutrients and get rid of toxins. And it helps with blood flow, keeping your skin glowing.

“Health is not about the weight you lose, but about the life you gain” -Dr. Josh Axe (And let’s be honest looking better is just the yummy cherry on top!) INTERESTED IN “FEEDING YOUR FACE”? HERE ARE SOME SUGGESTIONS  BELOW THANKS TO HEALTHLINE.COM AND WEBMD: Avocados are high in healthy fats and contain vitamins E and C, which are important for healthy skin. They may also contain compounds that protect the skin from sun damage. Walnuts are a good source of essential fats, zinc, vitamin E, vitamin C, selenium and protein, all of which are nutrients that your skin needs to stay healthy. Sunflower seeds are an excellent source of nutrients, including vitamin E, which is an important antioxidant for the skin. They also contain linoleic acid, a type of fat that may prevent dry and thin skin. Sweet potatoes are an excellent source of beta-carotene, which acts as a natural sunblock and protects the skin from sun damage. Bell peppers contain plenty of beta-carotene and vitamin C, both of which are important antioxidants for the skin. Vitamin C is also necessary to create collagen, the structural protein that keeps skin strong.

JODY LYN PHOTOGRAPHY Jody Williams Traylor of Jody Lynn Photography has been photographing newborns, children and families in the local area for over ten years. Coming from a technical background in Information Technology, Jody decided to go the complete opposite route and get creative with photography. They say if you love what you do you never work a day in your life and she believes that 100%. Jody loves to find the pure joy in a child and photograph that. Even though you’ll often find Jody tickling or acting silly to get the cutest reactions from her little subjects, she believes the real moments are the in-between moments. Like that moment right before a child laughs when their face lights up or right after when they are filled with joy.

Although the Raabes have been married for eight years, they originally met 25 years ago in Ormond Beach, Florida where Jhion is originally from. Angelyn was born at Northside Hospital in Atlanta and spent her early years in Marietta. Work moved her mother and Angelyn to Ormond Beach, Florida when she was in the fifth grade where she met her best friend’s older brother, Jhion. She had an instant crush on him! Angelyn returned to Marietta in eighth grade and graduated from Marietta High School in 2000. The couple re-united in Atlanta in 2008 and were married in 2010 and settled in West Cobb to be close to her family. Angelyn is a part-time labor and delivery nurse at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. She spends most of her days as a stay-at-home mom and has a side role as secretary to their family- owned business. Jhion started Pristine Finishes, Inc in 2016. His business focuses on residential Sheetrock and painting and has quickly grown a great reputation for high quality work, solely operating through word of mouth and referrals. Jhion and Angelyn are blessed with two incredible children, Paula (3 1/2 ) and Elias (23 months). Paula attends preschool at the CEE at First Baptist Church Marietta and has a real passion for learning. The family of four likes to spend time outside and often take day trips to Kennesaw Mountain, as well as summer vacations to the beach to visit Jhion’s family. Mom and Dad enjoy date nights with dinner on the Square and live music. They look forward to raising their children in Marietta and love to call it their home

SKILLFUL SQUEEGEE Window Cleaning

Broken bones, or fractures, often happen as a normal part of play, sports or daily activities. Fractures to growth areas during childhood are common. In kids and teens, bone growth happens at specific parts of the bone called growth plates. Growth plates determine the future length and shape of the bone. Since growth plates are made of cartilage, they are weaker than other areas of a growing skeleton. This makes them more vulnerable to injuries. Pediatric orthopaedic specialists know how to properly diagnose and treat injuries to growth plates to minimize growth disturbances associated with a broken bone.

Selective HearinG

by Mark Orler

“So, what do you think? my wife asked as I sat on the couch enjoying the recap of the men’s curling victory during the Winter Olympics.

water-park than a routine, when I heard the oft repeated, “What’s that noise? emanating from my dearest’s mouth.

“Ummm, about what? I responded.

I was about to, once again, blame the dog, when God stepped in and made me pause for a moment to truly listen and take heed of the question that had been posed‌ and I heard.

“ABOUT what I have been talking to you about for the past five minutes!â€? she loudly said as she stormed out of the room, “I just LOVE being ignored!â€? I am not certain, but I believe the term is “selective hearing.â€? This is something we husbands often fall victim to and unfortunately it typically affects our spouses most dramatically. In my defense though, it was curling that I was watching; and as everyone knows, if you miss a second of the heart-pounding action during these matches, well...yeah, she didn’t buy it either. Unfortunately, selective hearing is less about a physical constraint in the ear canal, and has much more to do with how you train your ears. Here’s an example: When my wife repeatedly asks things like, “What’s that smell?â€? or “What’s that noise?â€? my responses have been hard-wired by the conditioning of repeated circumstances. So, when I hear, “What’s that smell?â€? I immediately know it is going to be followed by, “Is that gas? Do we have a gas leak?â€? And 100% of the time the answer has been “No, we don’t have a leak per-se, but you may want to quit feeding the dog scraps from the table.â€? Or when at 3 a.m., I am woken to be asked, “Did you hear that!? What’s that noise!?â€? A query that inevitably is followed by, “Again, honey‌the dog.â€? It is a Pavlovian conditioning that must be overcome and often Divine Intervention must be requested to break the cycle of muted responses to actual attempts at serious conversation; and that was what I received, in the form of a toilet. We had just finished the nighttime bath routine, which is more a chaotic dance of five children through a

Drip, drip, drip, drip- the muffled sound of something behind a wall that was out of place and out of sync with the normal low hum of our home. In an instant the noise became an image in my mind and I quickly recalled the upstairs bathroom that I had recently “repaired and the realization that other than the ability to reveal a portion of my derriere whilst crouching behind a faulty toilet, I am no plumber. I raced upstairs and immediately realized things were amiss when my unshod feet felt the damp floor surrounding the commode. Quickly I shut the water supply off to the bowl and raced to get the shallow pool sopped up with towels and sponges. Later, after the adrenalin and excitement had died down and the poor-plumbing job had been corrected with little, or no damage to the ceilings below I fondly looked over to my wife and said, “That settles it, I am never watching curling again.

WHAT NOT TO DO BEFORE CLOSING

LEASE TODAY! Opening March

by Gillen Joachim - GANEK WRIGHT MINSK PC www.titlelaw.com

Many of you have seen or heard of the show, “What Not to Wear.” It is basically a show that lets people know what is not flattering to wear. Well, one thing that I know for sure is not flattering is when a homebuyer does something silly that prevents or delays their home closing. Below are a few things NOT to do before your home purchase to avoid such a situation. Don’t take out any new loans or create any new accounts. Although some things may be unavoidable, you don’t have to buy furniture before you buy a house. A new account is triple trouble on your credit score. In the case above, if you were to buy a new couch, loveseat, bed, mattress, dresser and decide to get a “Zero percent interest until 2025!” on-the-spot financing, it is 1) a new account/inquiry, 2) a high balance ratio, and 3) a short repayment history. All three of those are bad on your credit score. Don’t buy a car. Like the above, buying a car has the three hits on credit score. On top of that, it could seriously hurt your debt-to-income ratio. It has been said in the past, “You can live out of your car, but you can’t drive your house around the block.” It sounds funny, but I assure you that your family will not think it is funny at all. Neither will the seller. Don’t forget to pay your bills! I know that house hunting, packing, and preparing are all very stressful and demanding. However, having a late payment (especially for an existing mortgage) on your credit report check just prior to closing can lower your credit score and really throw a wrench in the process. Don’t close any current accounts. I know this may sound counter-intuitive, but it isn’t. It is perfectly okay to pay some accounts down to a low balance (but be sure you still have the down payment and reserves required by your lender in the bank.) However, closing accounts can affect your balance to available credit limit ratio, which is seen as a poor mark on your credit

SPRING FEVER Raise your hand if you’re a parent and your child has ever had a fever. I’m guessing every mom or dad reading this article is at home with your hand in the air, because at some point every child has most likely had some level of a fever. My son Henry is 19 months and just had his first real fever last weekend. It wasn’t anything too crazy, only a few degrees above normal range, but it was enough to make him fussy, not able to sleep, and just overall very uncomfortable. I spent an entire night rocking him in the chair, trying to help him get at least a bit of sleep (and trying to get a bit for myself), but every time he cried in pain my heart ached. It was one of those times where I kept thinking, ‘I wish I could trade places with you, buddy!” But the reality is that his body needed this. The truth is that having a fever is actually a good thing. Let me explain... A fever occurs when a person’s body temperature rises to a certain degree (typically any temperature above 100.4 degrees F is considered a fever.) Fevers have been around since the beginning of time, but since Tylenol was introduced in 1955, “fever phobia” has picked up and these days it seems like most parents are grabbing for a dose of medicine the minute their child feels just a tad bit warmer than normal. I don’t recommend this for several reasons, including the potential negative side effects Tylenol and other anti-fever drugs can have when used often in such tiny bodies. Aside from the dangers of these drugs, it is crucial to understand that a person’s body produces a fever for very specific reasons. The human body is extremely intelligent and in an overall healthy individual, will produce a fever because it’s needed.

Let’s look at the three major reasons the body produces a fever:*

1. A fever stimulates your immune system into producing more white blood cells, antibodies, and a protein called interferon, all of which work to protect your body against harmful microorganisms. 2. By raising your body’s temperature a few degrees, a fever makes it harder for invading bacteria and viruses to survive and flourish. The higher your core body temperature is, the harder it is for harmful microorganisms to survive in your body. 3. A fever helps to shuttle iron to your liver so that it is not readily available to fuel the growth of invading bacteria. When Henry was crying all night last weekend, as difficult as it was to see him struggle, I kept reminding myself that his body is smart. His body knew that there was something nasty inside that needed to be taken care of before it got out of hand, so his temperature raised, his body fought hard, and by the morning he was 100% and ready to play!

The wonderful news is that post-fever, your child’s body will actually be stronger than it was just days before. A study published in the February 2004 Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology found that children who ran a fever during their first year were less likely to develop allergies later in childhood than children who did not have fever. With all this being said, it is important for you as a parent to follow your gut when it comes to what’s best for your child. Avoiding giving in to fever phobia is important but it’s also important to keep an eye on your child and watch for any signs that a fever is becoming more serious. A child’s demeanor and overall state is actually more telling and more important to monitor than the temperature itself. If you find yourself or your kiddos with a fever that is extremely high and is raising concern, it is important to be familiar with natural fever-treating remedies that can replace the potentially dangerous traditional anti-fever drugs used for kids. I share all about these natural remedies in my private Facebook group! My goal is to empower you as a parent to make the best, educated decisions for your precious littles in all areas, including fever management. Broccoli is a good source of vitamins, minerals and carotenoids that are important for skin health. It also contains sulforaphane, which may help prevent skin cancer and protect the skin from sunburn. Tomatoes are a good source of vitamin C and all of the major carotenoids, especially lycopene. These carotenoids protect the skin from sun damage and may help prevent wrinkling. Soy contains isoflavones. Isoflavones have been shown to improve wrinkles, collagen, skin elasticity and skin dryness, as well as protect the skin from UV damage. Cocoa contains antioxidants that may protect the skin against sunburn. They may also improve wrinkles, skin thickness, hydration, blood flow and skin texture. The catechins found in green tea are powerful antioxidants that can protect skin against sun damage and reduce skin redness, as well as improve the hydration, thickness and elasticity of skin. Tech Dad

by James Floyd Kelly

The holiday season is over, and the number of boxes arriving on my doorstep has dropped significantly. We got lucky this season and didn’t have any boxes mysteriously vanish from our front porch… but some of the houses in my neighborhood weren’t so lucky. It’s a fact of our online shopping lives that there will always be thieves looking to take something that doesn’t belong to them. Sites like Amazon will replace items that are taken, but not all online shopping is so easy. Sometimes you’ll be responsible for additional shipping costs, and of course there are the delays in getting replacement items. Most packages don’t require a signature, so UPS and FedEx and other delivery services drop most packages off during normal working hours and head on to the next delivery. Unless you work from home, your order is going to sit there for the world to see. You could get a Post Office box, and many UPS and FedEx stores will allow you to ship a package to one of their stores. That’s a good solution, but not so good if the store is closed when you need to pick up your item.

• SIDING • PAINTING • GUTTERS • ROOFING

If you’re an Amazon shopper, there may be another option for you to consider. It’s not available everywhere, but it IS available in many locations in Cobb County. It’s called Amazon Locker, and I’ve used it a couple of times now and it works great. It’s basically a set of automated lockers located at convenient locations. For me, the nearest set of lockers is at a QuickTrip just half a mile down the road. Start by visiting Amazon.com and searching for “Amazon Locker.” You’ll be directed a webpage where you’ll need to provide your zip code. This will narrow down the nearest locker locations. Find one that’s convenient for you, and click the Select button. This address will now be an option for you to choose after you complete an Amazon online order. Instead of choosing your home address, you’ll select the Amazon Locker location. It’s SIMPLE! So, how does it actually work? You’ll still get a notice from Amazon providing a delivery date for your order. When the order is delivered to the locker, you’ll receive another email with a bar code on it. (In addition to the bar code, the email also includes a six-letter code that can be used instead of the bar code.)

Go to your Amazon Locker location and open up the email on your mobile phone. The locker will have a scanner that can read the bar code or you can type in the six-letter code from the email. After the confirmation is completed, one of the locker doors will open automatically – take out the item and you’re done!

On Line Pharmacy In-house laboratory

I don’t know about every Amazon Locker location, but mine has small, medium and large lockers. My guess is that Amazon knows whether or not a

State of the art Digital X-rays

package can be left in a specific locker location, so I wouldn’t worry about ordering something that won’t fit inside a locker.

Boarding

As I said, I’ve used it a few times without issue. I don’t know what happens if all the lockers are taken, and I’ve not yet ordered anything that wouldn’t fit inside the three sizes of boxes my locker has available. About all I can tell you is that it works just like ordering anything else from Amazon, except you drive to pick up your order instead of it showing up on your doorstep. I was given three days from the time I received the barcode email to pick up the package, but it’s possible that time limit may decrease during busy shopping seasons. The two items I ordered were items I wouldn’t have wanted sitting out in the open for a thief to grab, and knowing my items were safe and sound was worth the few minutes to drive over to QT. I highly recommend trying out the service for yourself, especially if you live in a neighborhood that has had reports of thieves picking up boxes from doorsteps.

If so, laser hair removal is exactly what you are looking for. The use of lasers to removal hair has been around for decades and through studies and advances in technology, it has been shown to be extremely safe and effective for all skin types. Laser hair removal is the quick hassle-free solution that will get you ready for those nice relaxing days lounging poolside this summer. With laser hair removal, permanent hair reduction is expected, usually 60-80%, depending on the area. If regrowth of hair does occur, it will be short and fine and very light colored. Any new hair growth is significantly less noticeable than what was originally treated and may still take up to 3 to 6 months before any grows at all. The pigmentation in the hair follicle absorbs the laser resulting in destruction of the follicle. Complications are very rare but superficial burns, pigmentary changes and scarring could potentially occur if not performed properly. In addition to being very effective, the procedure takes very little time. Smaller areas such as the upper lip, may take as little as 5 minutes to complete. Even though using a laser sounds daunting, it is relatively painless. Most patients report a slight stinging sensation but by no means unbearable. If a large area is being treated, or in a sensitive area, a topical numbing cream can be applied prior to the procedure

to eliminate any discomfort. The recommended treatment protocol is four to six treatments spaced four weeks apart. This is to ensure complete removal of the hair follicle, as one or two treatments may not be sufficient.   Dr. John Kayal is highly trained and proficient in the use of lasers, including laser hair removal. If you have any questions, would like to schedule a consult, or begin removing any unwanted hairs today please call Kayal Dermatology and Skin Cancer Specialists to set up an appointment at 770-426-7177.

THE SCIENCE OF BEAUTY

THE BEGINNERS GUIDE TO FACIAL MASKS By Eliana Ocheseanu - The Skin Whisperer at Refinery21 studio Facial masks have been around for a very long time but until the “Korean beauty invasion” recommending a mask to someone was like recommending them to fly to Mars. These days, masks have become an ubiquitous item in every beauty store and every new beauty routine. Before you run to Sephora and fill your basket with every mask in a pretty package, here are some guidelines on what to pick and how it works.

CLAY MASKS have been used by women (and probably men) since the beginning of

time. Clay masks are not for everyone. They are great for oily, blemished skin because they contain bentonite, which is very effective at cleaning the pores and balancing the sebum production. If you do not properly cleanse and exfoliate the skin beforehand they will be pretty ineffective. Another big mistake we do with clay masks is leaving it on too long. Once the mask has become light in color and feels tight on the skin it is time to wash it off or it will start drying and dehydrating the skin.

MOISTURIZING MASKS are essential for everyone with dry skin. They contain oils and butters that will reduce the dryness, will protect against future dehydration and leave your skin supple and quenched with a youthful looking complexion. Just like with a clay mask, it will work better if you prep your skin before applying it and also applying a good corrective serum under it will boost the results. You can leave this mask on for as long as you desire even sleep in it once a week.

SOOTHING MASKS usually contain Aloe Vera and are great to sooth irritation, reduce inflammation and hydrate your skin. Aloe is used to effectively treat chronic skin problems such as psoriasis, acne and eczema. I also love it as a moisturizer because Aloe moisturizes the skin without giving it a greasy feeling, so it`s perfect for anyone with an oily skin complexion. For women who use mineral-based make-up, Aloe Vera acts as a moisturizer and is great for the face prior to the application to prevent skin drying. Last but not least, the mask that started the whole movement, the KOREAN SHEET MASKS. They are made of paper, bamboo or hydrogel, soaked generously in active ingredients such as Vitamins, Allatonin, Reservatrol, Omega acids and most importantly everyone’s star ingredient, hyaluronic acid. Because of the mask’s highly occlusive properties, all these amazing ingredients get soaked into the skin instead of evaporating. Once you’ve removed this mask after 20 minutes the skin looks incredibly hydrated and plumped. As with all the other masks, to get the best results you must prepare the skin by cleansing, exfoliating and most importantly PH balance it with a toner so all the serums contained in the mask can be absorbed quickly and thoroughly into your skin. How often you use a face mask depends on the type of skin you have. Other factors will determine how often you need one, such as time of year and the weather. In the winter, for example, you might need a moisturizing or hydrating mask several times per week. In the summer? You may want to use a mask to help control oil twice weekly. In general, most experts agree once a week is ideal. If you are going to do the extra step of applying a face mask, you might as well maximize results. Take the time to use them correctly and it will pay off. Now, go show the world that gorgeous glow.
