ADAM

HERMANN

Director of Sports Performance | 3rd Season

Adam Hermann is in his third season with the Oral Roberts University athletic department. Hermann was hired just prior to the 2011-12 competition year as ORU’s director of sports performance. Hermann came to ORU from Central Michigan University, where he served as the associate director of strength and conditioning, working mainly with men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball, baseball and softball. He also designed and directed the nutrition education program for the Olympic sports teams while at CMU.

Hermann graduated from Northern Michigan University with a B.S. in health education. Hermann has his Level 1 Sports Performance Certification by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He is adult CPR certified and earned Bronze Level Coach status with USA wrestling in 2001.

Hermann was a part of the athletic department at former Summit League rival North Dakota State from 2004-10, working as both a graduate assistant and the assistant strength and conditioning coach. While at NDSU he worked with each of the Bison athletic teams, including the national powerhouse football program.

BRADLEY

RUHANEN

Assistant Director of Sports Performance | 3rd Season

Bradley Ruhanen is in his third season as the assistant director of sports performance at Oral Roberts University. Ruhanen came to ORU in September of 2011, joining the Golden Eagles from former Summit League rival North Dakota State. While at NDSU, Ruhanen was a graduate assistant and worked with the Bison football, men’s golf, the men’s and women’s track & field, wrestling and softball programs. Before going to NDSU, Ruhanen was the assistant strength and cconditioning coach at NCAA Division II member Michigan Technological University for one year. Ruhanen also has experience as a graduate assistant football coach. Ruhanen graduated from Michigan Tech with a degree in management information systems after finishing up a four-year playing career as a wide receiver, kick returner and punt returner on the Huskies’ football team. He was the team captain and named the squad’s

most outstanding freshman during the 2002 season. An outstanding student, Ruhanen was twice named to the GLIAC All-Academic team. Ruhanen has reached Level 1 Sports Performance Certification through the USAW and is CPR/AED certified.
