MANNING

Associate AD • Compliance | 8th Season

The 2013-14 school year will mark Ralph Manning’s seventh full year as associate athletic director for compliance at ORU. Manning came to ORU after spending two years as the executive director of the NSU Foundation and director of development at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Okla. Manning has more than 30 years experience as both a coach and administrator at the collegiate level. Prior to his time at NSU, Manning spent 12 years at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga, serving in a variety of roles. From 1990-96, Manning was both head wrestling coach and compliance coordinator at UTC. Manning also served one year as NCAA compliance specialist at UTC and was later elevated to assistant athletic director for academics and ccompliance.

Before his service at UTC, Manning spent four years (1986-90) as an assistant wrestling coach at Clemson University, and was head wrestling coach at Indiana State for two years (1985-86). Prior to ISU, Manning spent five seasons as head coach at South Dakota State University, producing seven Division II All-Americans. Manning also served head coaching stints at Central University of Iowa (197881) and Northeast Missouri State University (1976-78). Manning received an undergraduate degree in Physical Education from the University of Nebraska in 1974, and earned a Master’s degree in Physical Education at Northeast Missouri State University in 1978. Manning and his wife, Vicki, have four children.

DOLAN

Associate AD • Development | 2nd Season

Sean Dolan joined the ORU staff in October, 2012, as the associate athletic director for development. Dolan directs capital fundraising, major gifts and other sources of revenue generation and strategic initiatives for the Golden Eagles. “I am very excited to be joining the athletics department at Oral Roberts University,” said Dolan upon his hiring. “I appreciate Mike Carter giving me this opportunity and I look forward to being part of such a successful department.” Prior to joining the staff at ORU, Dolan was the director of project management for Builders Steel and Crane Company, managing projects in excess of five million dollars. Dolan also spent time working with Cedar Ridge Country Club, and the Golf Club of Oklahoma, assisting in various operations of the clubs.

“When I began the hiring process for this position, I was looking for a high-character person who knew Tulsa and was connected in this community,” said Carter. “I believe we found exactly that person in Sean. He is a great fit for our department and we are happy to have him join our staff.” Dolan is the secretary/treasurer of the Cedar Ridge Country Club board, and also serves as the president of the Broken Arrow Youth Basketball Association. He also served as a co-chair for the Sooner Chapter Cystic Fibrosis Charity Golf Tournament from 2006-2012, helping raise more than 1.4 million dollars. Along with his wife of 19 years, Jeni, Dolan has three kids, Brady (16), Logan (12) and Peyton (7).
