ORU EXPERIENCE | COACHES | 2013-14 SQUAD | OPPONENTS | 2012-13 REVIEW | HISTORY

NATIONAL BROADCAST APPEARANCES With a challenging national schedule and a reputation as one of the country’s top mid-major programs, the ORU women’s basketball team received an unprecedented amount of national television and internet coverage in 2012-13. The Golden Eagles were featured on six national broadcasts last season, a program record, and won three of those games. The highlight of the schedule was an NCAA Tournament appearance against Tennessee, which attracted an audience of more the 600,000 viewers on ESPN2. ORU also played three nationally-distributed games on ESPN3 through the Southland Digital Network, including SLC Tournament victories over McNeese State and Sam Houston State. Finally, ORU’s game at nationally-ranked Nebraska was carried on BTN.com and the showdown with defending National Champion Baylor was televised on Fox Sports Net. That national broadcast exposure will continue in 2013-14, as no fewer than four ORU games will be covered nationally. Included in the schedule are the November 10 contest against Kansas, the January 23 home matchup with Stephen F. Austin and the January 30 trip to Nicholls State. All three games will be broadcast by ESPN3.
