MEDIA POLICIES & PROCEDURES THE MABEE CENTER The home of the Golden Eagles is the 10,575-seat Mabee Center. Located on ORU’s main campus at 81st St. and Lewis Ave., the Mabee Center is eight miles south of downtown Tulsa. SCORE UPDATES The Mabee Center press row phone number is (918) 495-7800. A member of the ORU Media Relations Department is available to answer the phone and provide a brief live update during every home game. Live score tracking is also available on the internet at ORUGoldenEagles.com, while Twitter updates will be provided at the @ORUAthletics and @WaldenORU accounts. MEDIA CREDENTIALS All credentials will be issued to WORKING MEDIA ONLY and should be requested through the ORU Athletic Media Relations Office as early as possible. Credentials will not be mailed, nor will they be issued to spouses, dates or children. MEDIA ENTRANCE Working media should enter through the service entrance of the Mabee Center, located on the southeast side of the arena. At that time, media credentials will be issued. Media parking passes are not required. There is ample free parking. WORKING AREA The press row working area is located on the west end of the Mabee Center seating area. Press row seating is assigned by the Media Relations Office. THE PRESS ROOM The press room is located adjacent to the north corridor outside the arena. Refreshments will be available prior to the game and at halftime. Press room refreshments will not be provided to fans, guests of working media, or Golden Eagle Club members. MEDIA SERVICES Programs, statistics and game notes will be available in the press room prior to each game. Halftime statistics are provided on press row and in the press room. Final game statistical packets will also be provided. ORU uses the Stat Crew System software package. Fax requests should be made in advance.

MEDIA OUTLETS

RADIO AND TELEVISION RIGHTS ORU provides two courtesy lines for the official visiting radio outlet. If any additional lines are needed, contact the ORU Athletic Media Relations Office at least one week in advance to make arrangements. A charge will accompany additional lines and is payable through the Mabee Center Business Office. Television stations should coordinate all plans through the Media Relations Office. Rights are subject to restrictions set forth by ORU. Requests to televise any live or delayed portion should be made well in advance. PHOTOGRAPHERS All photographers must have their photo passes visible at all times and must shoot only from under the baskets, away from advertisements. POSTGAME INTERVIEWS After a 10-minute cool down period, two ORU players will proceed to the press room for the postgame press conference. Coach Cussen’s postgame interview will follow. If requested, the visiting coach and players will be made available to the media as well. PRACTICES Players will be available for interviews up to 30 minutes before practices only with advance notification through the Media Relations Office. Please contact Rob Walden, Assistant Director of Media Relations, if you plan to attend practice. Practice times vary throughout the season, and changes in practice times do occur, so please contact the Athletic Media Relations Office to confirm times. Practice requests that are not arranged through the Media Relations Office ahead of time WILL NOT be granted. INTERVIEWS Requests for coach and player interviews should be made at least one day in advance through Rob Walden, Assistant Director of Media Relations. Interview requests that are not coordinated through the Media Relations office WILL NOT be granted.
