Overall Record: 18-13 SLC Record: 13-5 (t1st) Mabee Center Record: 10-2 Road Record: 6-11 Neutral Record: 2-0 Postseason Record: 2-1 • SLC Regular Season Champions • SLC Tournament Champions • No. 15 seed - NCAA Tournament Oklahoma City Regional • Four All-SLC selections • PSO Mayor’s Cup Champions The 2012-13 season will go down as one of the most successful and memorable campaigns in Oral Roberts University basketball history. The 38th season of hoops in South Tulsa featured a mix elements both fresh and familiar, as the Golden Eagles joined a new conference and welcomed a new head coach while returning one of the most accomplished senior trios in program history. Through it all, the goal remained the same: win a conference championship and advance to the NCAA Tournament. Though a brutal early-season schedule and the pitfalls of playing in a new league threatened to derail ORU, that goal was realized in glorious fashion, forever ensuring that 2012-13 will go down a season for the ages.

ORU JOINS SOUTHLAND CONFERENCE The building blocks for a legendary 2012-13 season were laid in place long before the campaign tipped off in late October. In fact, ORU took their first steps towards a historic campaign on October 25, 2011, when the school formally joined the Southland Conference. The move came after 15 seasons in the Mid-Continent Conference/Summit League, which included five women’s basketball tournament titles and two women’s basketball regular season championships.

ORU Director of Athletics Mike Carter waited less than a week before finding Finkbeiner’s replacement, and on April 27, 2012, longtime assistant Misti Cussen was chosen from a lengthy pool of nationally-recognized candidates to be the 10th head coach in program history. Cussen had been with the program since accompanying Finkbeiner from SNU in 1996 and she had played a vital role in each of ORU’s five prior NCAA Tournament appearances. GOLDEN EAGLES MAKE SIXTH NCAA TOURNAMENT APPEARANCE Oral Roberts advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the sixth time in program history, earning the No. 15 seed in the Oklahoma City Regional by virtue of their victory in the Southland Conference Tournament. ORU traveled to Knoxville, Tenn., for a First Round matchup with 2nd-seeded Tennessee, where they gave a spirited performance in front of nearly 7,000 spectators and a national television
