Led by different members of the congregation this series will take place in New Church House. Starting with coffee and refreshments these sessions give us a chance to think deeply and learn from each other in an informal and relaxed setting. There will be a breakfast before the meeting on 5th August. We would love to see you. For more details talk to Stuart. 9. THE NEXT BISHOP OF WARRINGTON: will be the Venerable Beverley Mason, Archdeacon of Richmond and Craven in the Diocese of Leeds. Beverley will minister alongside Bishop Paul of Liverpool as one of the “chief pastors” of the Liverpool Diocese. Bishop Paul said “Today marks a new era in our Diocese. I am delighted that Archdeacon Beverley has responded to the call to serve as the next Bishop of Warrington. Bishops are called to lead the Church in holiness, in mission and in worship and I know that Beverley is richly equipped to do all these things among us.” 10. AFTER MANY YEARS FAITHFUL SERVICE: Keith has decided that it is time to step down as Verger for funerals and weddings. We therefore need someone who is willing to take on this role. The unpredictable nature of when funerals are means that the person who takes on this role needs to have some flexibility of availability. The Verger also needs to be available on Saturdays for weddings. The tasks include opening the church for the funeral or wedding, ensuring the resources are available, welcoming those attending the service, tidying away afterwards. A full role description is available from the Vicar. There is a modest remuneration for this role. If you are interested please contact 01695 572143 11. WE HOPE TO JOIN WITH CHURCHES ACROSS THE LAND: ringing the church bells at 8pm on Sunday 11th November. If you have experience as a bell ringer, are available on the 11th November and would like to ring on this special occasion please let the Parish Office know.
