Logo

The logo is a graphic display of the hotel as it is an icon that symbolizes the one and only Desire Pearl Resort & Spa Riviera Maya. This should be used primarily as a means of identification, not as a design element. The authorized logo is the one that appears on this page. It cannot be altered or displayed in any other way than described in this Corporate Identity Manual. It is important that every user of the visual identity system is aware of the need for consistency in the corporate visual expression. Consistency is the key to success in an environment where signs and symbols play an important role. The logo must be reproduced from the digital files that are included in this Corporate Identity Manual.

Slogan

The slogans have been carefully designed to honor the relationship between the client and Desire Pearl Resort & Spa Riviera Maya. They can never be altered unless approved by the company. These should be used primarily as design elements and copy in some cases, not as elements of identification. The slogan has 2 possible uses: a) When the style of the publication, whether printed or on-line is subtle, it highlights the au natural qualities of our Resort, the logo to be used is the one in white or corporate gray.

Proportions and reductions Grid It is important that the original proportions of the logo are kept unmodified. Although the size of the logo can be altered, it must be scaled proportionally. This grid will guide you to reproduce the logo in any form whatever the size and reproduction means are so that the symbol and logo will always keep the following proportions and composition (see illustration).

Protection area The brand logo always needs a protection area, which is a minimum amount of "free" space that frames it, and it must be respected and not be occupied by any disturbing element. Use the line of height "x" as a unit of measurement for the protection area. Minimum size To ensure optimum legibility of the brand logo, maintain integrity, keeping visual recognition, establishing a minimum recommended size for the logo which is 1.5 cm in length (see illustration). There is not a maximum size.

Colors

The logo will be better recognized as a brand logo, if those who see it, get used to certain colors. It is important to attach the color system when using the logo and slogan in ALL applications. Black and warm gray are the primary corporate colors, always used to present the corporate identity of the Resort. Black, gray, white and gold can be used for the slogan*, as shown in the present page. Chosen according to the method of printing (Pantone or CMYK), it is imperative to respect the references listed below in order to get the color reproduction as accurate as possible, not admitting approximations regarding the defined colors.

Grayscale and white In case technical or budgetary constraints are presented, the logo may be reproduced in the following ways: Grayscale It is monochromatic, it must be grayscale. Examples: fax, internal communications and documents for photocopying. White The logo can also be displayed on a black background, in which the logo must be totally white. The background (either color, texture or picture) should not have anything that can distract the attention from the brand or make it difficult to read.

Misuse

The brand must be used only as it is specified in this manual. Likewise, rotating the logo, modifying the colors, framing the geometric shapes or varying the arrangement of the elements must be avoided. X Do not distort the logo.

On colored backgrounds Avoid using the logo in full color with shades and backgrounds that may be confused with the corporate ones or those that do not offer a good contrast. On photographs When the logo is to be used on black and white or color photographs, the logo should be positioned in a 'clear' or clean elements of preference of one color, avoiding extreme tonal variations.
