JUNE NEWSLETTER

MANAGER’S MESSAGE Dear Members, Summer is in full swing and I hope that you join us in the many activities that are scheduled for the month of June. Be sure to look through the entire newsletter, mark your calendars, invite your friends, and make plans to participate in many of the events. Father’s Day is an occasion to honor and celebrate the contributions that father’s have made in your life. Several events are planned at Houndslake for that weekend. Our Father’s Day Brunch will feature your favorite breakfast and lunch items. After enjoying Brunch, treat your dad to the Parent/Child 9-Hole Captains Choice Golf Tournament. Following the friendly competition, the entire family can meet in the Grill Room for awards, lunch, and the US Open Viewing Party. We actually begin the weekend on Friday, June 13 with our US Open Member-Member Member-Guest Pairing Party where we draw for the Pros and conduct a pari-mutuel. The 2-Person Better Ball Tournament will be played the following morning. At the completion of the US Open, we will tally all of the results and identify the winners. On Friday, June 20 we are hosting our Key West Seafood Buffet. Don’t miss Chef Daniel’s delicious array of seafood accompanied by garden vegetables and a Banana Fosters dessert station. Kid’s Night is available for parents to enjoy an evening together dining out. I am pleased to report that Houndslake continues to add New Members. Our success in attracting New Members is due to many things - referrals from Members, effective recruiting & follow up by our staff, promotional efforts, and improvements to our facilities. As a matter of fact, Houndslake was recently chosen by the Readers of the Aiken Standard as the Best Golf Course and Pro Shop in Aiken. This is an example of the many good things that are happening at the Club. The entire staff is looking for ways to maintain this momentum through the summer and into the fall. If you know of a friend, co-worker, or neighbor that might have an interest in joining Houndslake then please let Heather know. In closing, I would like to thank each of you for choosing Houndslake Country Club and I hope that you are enjoying your time here thus far. Over the next couple of months, we will be developing processes and executing plans that will improve the Club for Golfing, Tennis, and Social Members. I would also like to thank the entire staff for their continued hard work and dedication. We have an extremely active Club that requires a lot of hours and effort from our employees. These guys are continually striving to better serve the Members and improve the Club. Be Well and Stay Well, Daniel Seawell
