CEO’S MESSAGE I am pleased to present Orbital Project Management’s Capability Statement, which highlights our company’s talent, vision for the future and prior accomplishments. I hope that you will gain a better understanding of who we are and what we are capable of when looking for the next program and project leader.

What makes us unique? Orbital Project Management is a veteran woman-owned business that specializes in professional project management services for all California agencies and utilities. Our program and project managers have experience in nuclear power generation, utility distribution management and transportation project management.

Meet Our Professionals Jennifer has six years of business management experience in sales and five years of project management experience through her volunteer work. Born in Michigan, Jennifer joined the Navy as a nuclear-trained engineering laboratory technician and has lived in many places across the country. After twenty years, she came back to live in beautiful San Diego for a second time. But this time she brought her husband, two kids and two pugs. B.A., Business Administration, Minor in Contract Management and Procurement, Grantham University, Kansas, Summa Cum Laude

Meet Our Professionals After serving in the Navy as a nuclear -trained electrician and selecting as a Master Chief in only 17 years, Steve left the fleet to supervise the maintenance of commercial nuclear reactors. Later, he entered the operations side of electricity transmission and distribution in the San Joaquin Valley as the Regional Operations Manager for Southern California Edison. He left the valley to manage several utility upgrade projects in San Diego.

In his spare time he likes to golf, ride go-karts with his kids and walk his two pugs through Balboa Park. B.S., Interdisciplinary Studies, Grantham University, Kansas, Magna Cum Laude

Meet Our Professionals Susie has over 18 years of consulting experience in various roles including data, content, and project management, program setup, and reporting. She has worked on many environmental projects in Sacramento before becoming part of the program management team for the California High-Speed Rail Program. She moved to San Diego in 2018 where she has been managing projects for the utility industry. She has a variety of technical skills that she uses to automate project management tasks, to increase efficiency and to improve quality. Susie was born and raised in Hungary and moved to the US to go to college on a tennis scholarship. When not working, you can find her cheering her sons on at water polo tournaments or swim meets. Susie McCollum, PMP


Meet Our Professionals Neil served six years in the Navy as a nuclear trained electronics technician reactor operator. Over the past 20 years post Naval service, Neil has worked in design engineering and manufacturing operations within the medical device, solar, and semi-conductor industries. His primary mechanical design experiences have focused on automation and on new product introductions of complex capital equipment. Neil’s manufacturing experiences have focused on high and low volume product manufacturing, validations, process improvements, manufacturing process safety implementations, and cost reductions. In his spare time Neil enjoys spending time with his family and mountain biking in Orange County. Neil is currently pursuing his bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering.

PMO Set Up Orbital Project Management provides a complete PMO set up to organizations in need of standardization across all projects. By clearly defining all scope and requirements, building process maps, developing breakdown structures for resources and work, designing KPI dashboards and managing data across the organization proper program management can occur. Future scale up of production can begin without unnecessary growing pains due to data tracking, real time reporting and continuous process improvement.


Our Services (Cont.) Data Management Projects cannot succeed without proper data management. With up to date data, progress is accurately tracked and critical decisions can be made. Based on needs and available technologies, we recommend and create cost-effective data management solutions to collect and store data, to provide reporting and dashboards, and to support automation. We also provide user training, document all processes, and create data dictionaries and user guides. We have extensive experience working with SharePoint, SQL Server, Smartsheet, Access, Excel, InfoPath Designer, SQL Server Reporting Services, Power BI, Nintex Workflows and SharePoint Workflows. However, we believe the key to success is not the technology chosen but a well thought out, easy to use, cost effective system where users can clearly and immediately see the benefits.
