Sports Trade mission Doha, Qatar 2—6 March 2020

Sharing expertise and knowledge to realise Qatar’s ambitions www.qatarorangesports.com

Foreword I am pleased to welcome the Dutch sports trade mission to the State of Qatar on March 3-5, 2020. The mission’s participants cover the areas of sport, health, leisure and entertainment. A common thread is the companies’ emphasis on innovation and commitment to seek sustainable, longterm partnerships in Qatar. What distinguishes Dutch companies is their commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals and Corporate Social Responsibility. Qatar has positioned itself as a major hub for international sports events. It has hosted the World Cup Cycling, the World Cup Gymnastics and the World Cup Athletics in recent years. Qatar will host the FIFA World Cup in 2022 – the first time the tournament will be played in the Middle East. Qatar has invested in creating an excellent sport infrastructure that includes actors like Aspire, Aspetar and the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy. Qatar and the Netherlands share strong ties in the area of sports. The Royal Dutch Football Association has an MoU with Qatar’s Football Association while numerous Dutch players and coaches are active in Qatar’s Stars League competition. Ajax Amsterdam and PSV Eindhoven visited Doha in January for their winter training camps while many Qatari clubs travel to the Netherlands in the summer for their preseason camps. These existing ties provide a strong foundation for increased partnerships and exchanges. The Dutch embassy has identified sports as one of its four priority areas. We stand ready to assist Dutch sports companies and knowledge institutes through providing market information, establishing connections and opening doors. I wish all participants a productive and successful trade mission. Ambassador Frédérique de Man Chargée d’Affaires a.i. Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Qatar

Papendal has been used as a training location for elite sports since the seventies. Princess Beatrix opened the Olympic Training Centre officially in 1971. In the years that followed, Papendal has changed tremendously. The past ten years have particularly been a period of rapid development for the Olympic Training Centre. To give you an idea of these developments, we have listed our history in chronological order. There’s also a hotel located at Papendal, which is a subsidiary of the NOC*NSF (Dutch Olympic Committee), just like the High Performance Centre Papendal. If you are searching for a comfortable 4-star hotel amidst the forests of the Veluwe, then you have come to the right place. We offer anything you may expect from a 4-star hotel. Tranquillity, space and hospitality. But above all, you will experience the energy here. You can recharge your battery completely. Some may not know that being an (elite) athlete is not a prerequisite for staying with us. But if you enjoy staying in an inspiring, athletic environment where it is definitely possible to run into our (elite) athletes, then you are more than welcome.

G. M. Productions B.V. was formed by Robby Arendse and Sachin Chitnis. It has brought Ultiscorer sports product to market. Having come across several phubbers showing FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) syndrome, who are addicted to their mobile phones, Sachin had been on the lookout for various ways to address these addictions. When Sachin met Robby Arendse, it was clear to Sachin that Robby had a unique product called Ultiscorer, a football training equipment that is collapsible and can be carried around or placed in office like a Dart board. Robby, who is also a football coach and Sachin, an entrepreur decided to co-found G M Productions B. V., trade handle name Ultiscorer. The product has been brought to market and available for exclusive stockings to wholesales, dealers and retailers. Whenever one feels like phubbing rather than productively working in the office, one could just kick the ball. We expect this or one of its variant to become as popular in near future. About Aenarete Aenarete is epitome of Dutch research in wind energy and four similar companies are in the Netherlands including aenarete. aenarete focuses on micro systems, others are focusing on mini to mega solutions (hundreds of kilowatts)
