Dear Friends, On behalf of the men, women and children served by Foothill AIDS Project, I am delighted to welcome you to the Fourth Annual Inland Rainbow Mix. Your support is critically important as FAP rises to face unprecedented new challenges. We have been called upon to shoulder an increased responsibility in the Inland Empire due to the reduction of services in the region. FAP has now expanded into Riverside County to provide care for an additional 300 people living with HIV/AIDS that were in danger of losing care services. Our newest office opened in the city of Riverside this past March. The recent California State budget reduction has had a tremendously adverse affect on HIV Health Education and Risk Reduction programs and HIV testing. As a result, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties have almost completely eliminated prevention programs. With these programmatic cuts, the state of California has decisively declared that saving money this year was more important than making sure that future generations receive the education and tools necessary to prevent being infected with HIV. In light of these developments, your support is more important than ever. With your help, this year FAP will be able to serve more than 2,300 men, women and children who are affected by HIV/AIDS. This event would not be possible without the dedication of our event committee members who work throughout the year towards the achievement of this very special evening. Thank you also to the many donors, supporters, and volunteers who make the Inland Rainbow Mix possible. In particular, I’d like to thank our gracious hosts, Molly & Linden Brouse, for donating the use of their enchanting home for the evening. Warmest regards,

Maritza Tona Executive Director

Mission Foothill AIDS Project’s (FAP) mission is “to improve the lives of those affected by or at risk for HIV/AIDS through comprehensive support services, and to help prevent HIV infection through education and outreach.”

Who We Serve FAP, founded in 1987, is a 501(c)(3) minority-based organization that provides comprehensive and specialized services to those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS. In addition, FAP reaches those at risk for HIV infection including those who are homeless, with histories of incarceration, and with histories of substance use/abuse. In the past year, FAP has provided services to nearly 2,300 men, women and children. More than 75% of FAP’s clientele are from communities of color. Most are low-income, earning less than $800 per month.

FAP’s SERVICE AREA FAP services an area that extends from the San Gabriel Valley in Los Angeles, through San Bernardino County into Western Riverside County. Throughout much of this expansive region, FAP is one of the only service options for people in need. FAP has offices in the cities of Claremont, San Bernardino, Riverside and Pomona.
