More and more new models are coming out with more advanced technology used in engine and transmission manufacturing. Some vehicles has automatic transmission with as many as 8 gear to help save fuel. One of the new and advanced transmission types is CVT or eCVT transmission.
CVT transmission now can be found in Toyota, Nissan, Honda GM and Audi models. CVT transmissions are very smooth and efficient. There are no gears to change and no shifts. The best and most efficient gear ration can be achieved, thus resulting in high fuel efficiency. Very often CVT transmissions are combined with hybrid engines and this combination creates phenomenal gas saving cars. Quite often I would get customers that come to our shop with complaints, that their transmission is not working properly, but the issue ends up being a problem with engine that mimics broken transmission like symptoms. Here are a few tips from San Diego transmission repair specialists to help you figure is your transmission is the problem. 24/7 Lockout Roadside Assistance provides many car services, from accident scene recovery and tow service, to simple fuel delivery. Improper shifter position trigger abnormal shifting in some vehicles (Honda, Isuzu, Cadillac and others) A "Check Engine" or "Service Engine Soon" light is displayed inside instrument cluster. It could mean many problems, check with your mechanic for correct DTS (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) This is strictly on AC Replacement (VW Passat) in late September 2016. I have been regularly come here for my previous Honda Civic and now VW Passat. Through all my 4 years I trusted their review on Yelp, however this time I can't help but have to write myself a review on my VW Passat AC replacement. The first time they estimated the price and replaced the new AC. If you paid almost over a $1,000 dollars for a car repair, you should expect that should work. However, while driving for about 2 weeks my AC didn't work again, so I have to go back to Hai for them to check. They told me that the New AC was manufactured errors/effects and after 2 days of waiting they replaced a new one again. Now I have been driving for almost 4 months and the AC stopped working again. From frustration and many times going back and forth, I went back there again for them to check. Even though there weren't
so many cars waiting in the lot. They told me to come back and left the car again for them to check. They have failed me as a company and I would never trust them again to check my car. I have read other reviews on their AC replacement (same problems). It seems their mechanics doesn't have skills good enough for AC. Hai has shown me the lack of skills as a mechanics, lack of customer services as an auto repair specialists, lack of responsibilities as an owner.

It used to be, that when first CVT transmission fails like those found in Audi A4 CVT or Honda Insight CVT, the only way to get car repaired was to replace a cvt transmission with another unit. CVT transmissions are considered not repairable not because they are factory sealed can not be opened metal boxes. Because this type of transmissions were not so common and in early stages, it was almost impossible to find parts. Sometimes even authorized dealer would not sell replacement parts – only
complete assembled units. Some vehicles still come with transmissions that are not repairable - only could be replaced, mostly for newer models. Some CVT (continuously variable transmission) transmissions are only meant to be replaced with another unit from dealer. CVT transmission failure or cvt transmission problems would make you think if it is worth to repair your car or just donate it. Some CVT type transmissions for import cars may cost from $2000 to $7500. An expensive repair bill makes you think again before making a decision to repair cvt transmission. More and more car manufacturer install cvt transmissions and more and aftermarket parts become available for CVT transmissions as well as transmission cores. More and more transmission shops can trouble shoot and solve your CVT transmission problems.
