November 2013

Dear Friends of the Downtown: Welcome to the annual Stamford Downtown Directory. We hope you will want to keep this book near your phone and will find it a handy reference. We’re sure you’ve noticed that Stamford Downtown is changing and growing. Each year new shops and restaurants grace our streets. The Downtown is also a dynamic residential location. New residential apartment construction continues, with Park Square West Phase II adding 206 units plus additional public parking and 344 units at 75 Tresser Boulevard. Incoming residents will mingle with our seasoned downtowners and find that there is no better place to work, dine or grow roots. Certainly, this is the place… This Directory highlights a selection of restaurants, services, stores, clubs, galleries and theaters in Stamford Downtown, most of which can be found within walking distance of each other. Visit the Ferguson Library, enjoy a rest at one of our outdoor parks or dine “al fresco” at an outdoor cafe. Discover the Stamford Symphony and our compelling Alive@Five and Jazz up July Summer Concert series, UBS Parade Spectacular, the Art in Public Places sculpture exhibit, the Downtown’s engaging art venues, and numerous other “fun” events. We are adding more exciting things to do every year. We invite you to come Downtown, with this Directory in hand, and experience the history, the energy and the vigor of Stamford Downtown. This is the Place! Sincerely,

Michael A. Pavia, Mayor City of Stamford Mary Schaffer napa & co.
