PRE-FESTIVAL EVENTS AND

CULINARY STREET The events before the Vinarium Festival, which starts on 25 August 2016, will gradually create and uplift the festival spirit. During this pre-festival period our streets will turn into a venue of musical events enriched by entertainment and cultural programmes of domestic and foreign cultural societies. On this occasion music will be heard on our streets for the first time this year.

Besides good music our town will also have delicious traditional food (bograč, perec, langaš, dödöli, fish from Hotiza) and excellent local wine to offer.

FIDDLER ON THE ROOF Performed by Pannon Várszínház After the conference we will move into the Theatre and Concert Hall in Lendava to see the famous Fiddler on the Roof musical performed by the Pannon Várszínház from Veszprém and the Klezmer Band from Budapest.

THE VINARIUM TOWER’S 1 st YEAR OPPENING CEREMONY The Vinarium observation tower was definitely an exceptional acquisition that added to the tourist infrastructure of Lendava; In its first year the tower had over more than 80,000 visitors.

JOAN MIRÓ ART EXHIBITON LENDAVA CASTLE, 15 April – 30 September 2016 Open: Monday – Friday: 8.00 a.m. – 5.00 p.m.

On Saturdays and Sundays: 10.00 a.m. – 4.00 p.m.

The graphics of Joan Miró, a famous Spanish (Catalan) painter and graphics artist can be admired until 30 September 2016.

At the exhibition you will be able to see 95 of Miró's graphics and 15 posters from the private collection of Richard H. Mayer from Germany.

One of the most important Spanish painters, sculptors and graphics artists of the 20th century did not accept imposed patterns; with his art he broke all rules and traditions. He talked about artistic pieces created on paper with great enthusiasm, for he was convinced that paper provides the artist his freedom.
